I Just Want to Live Leasurely but Everyone Keeps on Bothering Me!

Elric Blackmore was an avid role-playing player in the VRMMO Dawn's Light. He was one of the best players in the game and the only solo player to enter the top leaderboards. He was not the strongest but he was the most versatile and the most annoying player to fight. Eric Blackmoore was the weak and talentless son of a Duke. Ridiculed and scorned due to his lack of talent in magic, he turned to being a wastrel to fill the void in his heart. These two people should have never met but fate had a different opinion. Waking up in the body of his alternate with the abilities of his game character, Elric has never been more confused in his life. ------------ I post chapters as I write them. It's been years since I last written something so don't expect me to write that fast. Updates are irregular.

Dawns Light

Dawns Light is a VRMMORPG that boasts the most unique system that guarantees the freedom and uniqueness to its players. It's main appeal is in its Talent-Mastery system that is in place of the Standard Level and Skill system

Instead of Leveling up to become powerful, players in Dawns Light are required to master and hone their skills in order to advance. At the start, players are given one Talent point to unlock either Physical or Magical Talent.

Physical Talent opens the skill tree to most physical oriented skills such as One-armed weapon mastery, Armor mastery, Bow-and-arrow mastery, and etc.

Magical talent opens the skill tree to magical skills such as Basic elemental Magic, Enhancement Magic, Basic curses, and etc.

In addition to Talent Masteries, there are also the Learned Masteries. These skills cannot be gained using points and can be unlocked by doing certain things. For example, fishing unlocks [Fishing Mastery], working in the forge unlocks [Basic Smithing], or training the body unlocks [Training Mastery], and etc.

A player can gain additional talent points by enhancing the acquired skills to the next level.

For example, a player with [Magic Mastery] unlocks [Basic Elemental Magic] skills. Under this skill are the basic elemental magic [Fireball], [Water lance], [Wind blade], and [Earth spike]. Using these spells gives experience to [Basic Elemental Magic]. Once a specific amount of experience is gained, [Basic Elemental Magic] advances to [Novice Elemental Magic] which can be further advanced into higher levels [Apprentice], [Journeyman], [Expert], and [Master]. This enhances the already gained skill, unlocks more abilities, and gives an additional Talent Point to be used to unlock another Mastery or to further advance the skill tree. The amount of experience needed to advance become greater for every level but the amount of Talent Point gained also increases by one per level.

However, certain actions will change how a skill develops. For example, if a player favors [Fireball], he unlocks [Flame Magic], and similar for other elements.

Mastery requirements are hidden and the Skills only appear once the requirements are met. A player with [Journeyman Magic Mastery], [Wind Magic] and [Water Magic], [Ice Magic] will appear on his skill tree and he can unlock the skill path by using a talent point.

Similarly, a player with [Journeyman Blacksmithing] and [Expert Magic Mastery] will get [Enchanting].

With this system, it ensures that no two players are completely alike. Eveyones development is based on their habit, preferences, and actions!
