Chapter 4

Morning came in a flash.

By the virtue of his one body clock, Elric woke up at the break of dawn.

"I need coffee," Elric muttered as he groggily went out of his tent, only to be greeted by a pile of corpses.

Horned Rabbits, Dire Wolves, Werebears, and some Blackbirds.

'I suppose Huginn and Muninn did this,' he thought.

"Purge the unclean, [Purification]"

There were multiple ways to cast spells and skills in game. There was [Motion Assist] where the player uses gesture to cast. There was [Chant] where the player assigns a mnemonic to certain spells or skills. There was [Macro] where players use spells much like how a programmer codes. There were endless amounts of ways to cast and each have their own advantages and disadvantages.

With a snap of his fingers, the pile of carcass were engulfed in a flash of light. The blood, scum, and dirt disappeared, along with the smell.

"Break down unto dust, [Dismantle]"

The carcass was once again engulfed in a flash of light, and transformed into three neat piles. All the edible meat went to one pile. Materials such as hide, claws, and bones were on another pile. The last pile was made up of trash such as the viscera.

"Cast: Flame" A massive tongue of flame reach out and incinerated the trash pile.

Leaving all but a few meat, Elric pulled everything else into his inventory.

With another cast of flames, the burned out campfire was lit. Elric then took out a few vials and sprinkled it's contents to the mean. Then he placed the meat beside the campfire to cook.

A few minutes passed by and a pleasant aroma slowly spread in the camp. The sound of risking clothes can be heard before Elric's travel companion walked out from her tent.

"Morning," Elric greeted her while keeping his eyes on the meat he was cooking. "Food will be ready in a few minutes."

"Good morning to you too, Sir Mage," the Princess replied.

"Hmm. If we travel as fast as we did yesterday, we'll arrive at Helmsport in three days." Elric said as he flipped the meat.

"T-three days?" The princess muttered. Just half a day's worth of walking killed her feet, but three more day?!

Elric noticed her distress and said, "Five if we took frequent breaks."

"I-I see..."

After poking the meat a few time with a stick and nodding, Elric took the seasoned grilled meat. He gave half to the princess and took the other half for himself.

"I cooked it the way I liked it'" He said. "tell me if it's not to your liking."

He took a bite and the meat immediately melted into his mouth. The flavor of the seasoning he put merrily danced in his tongue.

Seeing Elric eat so contently, the Princess also took a bit from her own meat and her eyes widened immediately!

The meat from the palace was hard, reeked of blood and bland! The spices were overflowing to overpower the taste of blood and was overcooked!

But this! She has no was to describe it! The flavor exploded in her mouth as the juices of the meat violated her entire oral orifice. She felt lost when she swallowed and immediately took another bite! Soon, she found herself staring at her fluid stained hands. Without reservation, she licked her hands clean, desperately trying to taste the same flavor again!

Looking at the Princess moaning and eating, Elric's eye twitched.
