Chapter 238- Help behind the scenes

On the other end, at Bennetti Mansion a few hours earlier:

Rizi woke up and realized it was too late. She observed Leo who slept soundly next to her.

Leo had changed into his night pyjama set. She concluded he had eaten and freshened up as well.

She sighed as she recalled her whole day.

Her stomach grumbled out loud. She decided to go downstairs and check in the kitchen. She was sure her portion of the meal must be in the microwave.

She stretched her limbs and made her way towards the door.

While she tiptoed towards the kitchen, she heard a few cars leaving the mansion's driveway and observed Abby working on her laptop.

She squinted her eyes and tiptoed further and stood right behind Abby.

Abby was so engrossed and failed to realise someone stood right behind her and eavesdropping on whatever she was doing at the moment.

She cleared her throat and felt Abby stiffen at realising her presence right behind her.

"Mind sharing what you all are up to?" Rizi took a seat next to Abby and crossed her arms while raising an eyebrow towards Abby.

"Well!" Abby was stunned but then her shoulders drop. They never meant to hide anything from Rizi. It's just that they all wanted her to rest after a terrific ordeal.

"We are tracking down all the Stephano's mercenaries in the city. Mr Bennetti had encashed some favours from the underworld and now we have the list of people who are in the city and belong to that scum's gang."

"And?"

"Mr Bennetti had released an order to wipe them all out. He had also raised the bounty on Mr Marco Pereira and the people part of Stephano's gang!" Abby continued to explain everything in detail.

Rizi listened attentively. "You mean to say his other gang is already trying to raid that greenhouse that belonged to Old man Pereira tonight and you have to monitor all the CCTV of both here and the Austria location provided by them?"

Abby nodded but hesitated as she was not sure how she gonna do that.

Rizi sighed, "Let me help! You cannot do that. There will be a slight delay from your end in wiping all the CCTV clear in this city and in Austria. We cannot afford a lapse of even a few seconds."

Abby turned her laptop towards her. She knew only Rizi can handle such a feat. Her expertise lies in writing complex algorithms in a few minutes. It would take her a few hours to get that algorithm right. She had already decided to wake up Rizi in the next 30 minutes for her help. But it was good she was already up.

Rizi smiled and with a serious expression, she started working on it. She did not wait for seconds to hack the CCTV Systems all over the city and then Austria. She worked very fast and Abby doubted anyone would know they are getting hacked at this inhumane speed.

After a few minutes, Rizi smirked and hit the enter, "well, it's all done. It will self-destroy the footage every few seconds and nobody will know there is something wrong with it. It will still capture the footage of empty halls and areas but no human figures. It will clear itself. After a mission is done at each place, we can give a command and it was self destroys itself. But all the backup of these videos will be stored in my cloud machine!"

Abby's jaw dropped. Rizi had made it effortlessly simple. "But why store the videos?" Abby couldn't help but ask.

Rizi scoffed, "for future use if required!" Then she winked at Abby. "Let's enjoy the show!"

Then she turned toward the computer and the screen got divided into multiple small screens showing footage of the events happening all around the city and in Austra.

"Let the show begin!" She murmured under her breath. Rizi acknowledged Zain's behaviour. She felt good that he took some drastic measures. It was need of this hour!

She was also preparing something but now that Zain had acted much faster than her, she decided to hold back on her plans and let Zain do his thing.

Abby watched Rizi silently. She stood up and went to warm the food left for Rizi. It was almost midnight. She warmed up the leftover in the microwave and serve the plate in front of her.

"Eat as well!" Abby muttered and occupied her seat next to her.

"I feel like getting popcorn! This is getting interesting!"
