The holidays passed by uneventfully, with a few interruptions. The first one was when Long Tian broke through to Foundation Establishment. He managed to work a side job and earn enough for a small cultivation supplement that together with the half of Spiritual Crystal allowed him to just barely power through Qi gathering, 10th stage included and reach Foundation Establishment one week before they had to hand in papers.
The second one was happening today, one day before they had to hand in papers and it was Yin's breakthrough to Core Formation. After sucking the Spiritual Crystal dry she managed to barely reach the point of singularity and breakthrough. Right now she was once again sitting on a hill in the middle of a forest, with Butler Yang standing by as her guard. As she waited for her Qi to finish condensing the clouds gathered once more, piling above her, this time achieving a diameter of 1 Km. As soon as the condensation of her Qi finished 9 loud booms thundered across the forest, as the Major Thunder Tribulation unleashed 9 strikes of it's wrath upon Long Yin's body. She felt the thunder purify her body and qi and stabilize her foundation, even boosting her to the Peak fo stage one.
With the ordeal over they returned home. Long Yin was extremely pleased as she reached the first major boundary. In Core Formation stage you had to repeatedly compress your Liquid Qi, with each repeat making it denser and slowly turning it from liquid into solid state until at the peak of the stage it formed your Golden Core. There was a reason why even peak geniuses of Elite high school class were only expected to reach half-step Golden Core or Golden Core stage one, despite the fact that some of them started in late stages of Foundation Establishment or early Core Formation. This was a stage that filtered people that had good constitution but didn't have cultivation talent. Most of them would then take ten to twenty years to breakthrough and only find jobs as teachers or guards in Primary and Middle School or Police Force.
Tomorrow would be the third interruption as the siblings would have to go and hand in their papers for #1 Foundation Establishment High. Not wanting to mess up both Long Tian and Long Yin stopped cultivating and went to bed early.
Currently the siblings found themselves standing in #1 High application office.
The bored-looking secretary taking in registration looked at them sceptically.
- Recommendation letters, eh? You know the drill, Flare your cultivation base, show me some techniques and give your exam results.
- Let's do the guy first for a change. Name... Long Tian... Exam results... 97%... Techniques.. Pass, above average.. . cultivation base... Foundation Establishment Stage One Peak? Notes... can fight across stages? Slightly weak, you'll be behind in cultivation stages and might get demoted by challenger from regular class, there's always a few dark horses there.
- Now the girl. Name? ...Long Yin. Siblings, eh?... Exam results... 100%... Techniques... I don't know those but looking at the effects it should be Advanced Stage, right? Okay so... Talented, pass.... Cultivation Stage... Core Formation Stage One Peak?! Are you sure you aren't already enrolled? Notes... 14, Early Graduate, Recommended scholarship?! Scratch that, clearly a prodigy. This is way above my pay grade, I'll have to consult Head of Scholarship department and the Headmaster. We'll get back to you by September 1st. Here are your supply lists, if you can't obtain something please contact the support department for help.
And so Yin found herself back in her room having her first major identity crisis since her rebirth The reason was a simple set of words that absolutely terrified her. Beacue on her supply list at the very bottom a "School Uniform" was written. The uniform itself wasn't a problem, it was the conclusions she came to when she examined herself in the mirror in detail for the first time since her rebirth that lead to her current distraught state.
Describing it simply, when she looked in the mirror Yin found a cute lolita looking back at her. Her hair was pure white, looking as if it was shimmering with starlight. Her eyes were of deep azure color and she noted that they seemed to contain a galaxy of shining stars within, which her innate knowledge told her was a sign of her blodline nearing 5% unsealed state. Looking at her figure, devoid of any womanly shapes, sitting slightly below 1,5 meters of height, she wondered if she'd have to buy a new uniform when she grew up... And then her brain crashed and all thoughts came to a halt.
She would grow up, right? I mean technically she wasn't really a human and this was only her transformed state caused by sealing of her bloodline. She'd grow, right? RIGHT?!
As if feeling her desperare pleas a new branch of knowledge came from her bloodline...
...Nope, Nada. She'd be stuck as a cute loli for at the very least the next 3 millenia. She might grow horns and scales though.
And thus we find our heroine curled below her mirror in a fetal position desperately trying to overcome the mental burden caused by that realisation. Suddenly she heard a knocking on her room's door.
- Honey are you okay? I know you're not cultivating and you're weirdly quiet there.
Yin quickly gathered her thoughts and shrugged before replying:
- Yes mom, it's just that after reading the list I realized I'll have to have the uniform tailor-made as I don't think they'll have my size.
- Oh, yes that would be a problem. I'll fill the order. Don't worry, you're 2 years younger than your brother, you'll grow soon.
'No, you don't understand! It's most likely that the human race will go extinct by the time I start growing. I don't want to be an immortal loli like in those animes! '
