Teaming up

"Maybe another time, I think it's still a bit too soon, plus all my things are at home and it would be a bother to move things over." Tie Zhu said respectfully, after seeing that Xiao Ling was being serious.

"Don't worry about any of that, I can fit your room with whatever you need and it shouldn't be a problem transporting your things over. Also if you want you can leave things at your place and move back any time." Xiao Ling replied, as if she was unwilling to let Tie Zhu reject her proposal.

"Uhhh, give me more time to think about it then.." Tie Zhu said.

"Tsk, fine, just remember that you can come in any time. Oh yes, earlier you said that you and Tao Keke are going on a date on Saturday, since you are not boyfriend and girlfriend then you should take Bing Meifeng out to play on Sunday. She is always at home and.."

"Mom!" Bing Meifeng suddenly cried, stopping her mother from continuing. During the whole time her mother was speaking she was trying to decide whether to stop her from speaking or not, however she held her mouth as a part of her actually wanted Tie Zhu to accept her mother offer. Her face was covered in a blush the whole time, however when she heard her mother planning to organize a date for her she could not take it any longer and called out instinctively in embarrassment.

On the other hand, Tao Keke had also been paying close attention this whole time. She could vaguely guess what Bing Meifeng's mother was trying to do, causing her to feel a foreboding sense of unease. However she stopped herself from calling out like before since she did not want Tie Zhu to lose this job for her sake, especially after she saw that he was treated well and seemed to be able to make a decent living. Although she was not sure how much money was in the card she knew that it would allow him to pay his expenses.

It was not that she was greedy for money, but rather she did not want Tie Zhu to struggle like he had the past couple of years, where he had to work late into the night. Although she and her mother had tried to help him, he would often reject their help since he was too proud. However this did not mean that she would just hand Tie Zhu over to Bing Meifeng, so she paid close attention to each of Tie Zhu's responses.

"Well, it's getting a bit late now. I think we should be heading off to school now. Thanks for the phone and card, I'll see you later." Tie Zhu said, breaking the awkward silence and inviting Tao Keke and Bing Meifeng to come along.

"Okay fine, take care and what time will you be back?" Xiao Ling said regretfully before eagerly anticipating what Tie Zhu would be cooking for dinner. 'Tsk, Bing Meifeng.. Look at everything your mother has done for you and you are still not taking advantage over it.' She thought.

After agreeing to come back at around 6:00 pm, Tie Zhu and the girls silently made their way back to the car park. Since Tie Zhu was still learning to drive, Bing Meifeng surprisingly took the opportunity to take the front seat in order to 'teach' Tie Zhu, much to Tao Keke's disappointment.

It was not long before they finally arrived at the school gates. After finding a place to park, the three of them exited the car they immediately attracted shocked and envious glares. Although some students knew that it was Bing Meifeng's car, the last thing they expected was a handsome young man in their school uniform to be driving it.

Furthermore both of the schools goddesses were standing by his side as if they were fighting for his attention, causing the wrath and hatred of most of the boys, while the women looked at Tie Zhu with adoration, wondering who the new handsome rich student was.

"Why is the Frost queen with him! What makes that white face so special!"

"Ahh, curse him!! Not only is he taking one but why are both goddesses by his side!"

After arriving at school, the three of them agreed to meet up at lunch before Tie Zhu and Bing Meifeng both went to their classes while Tao Keke had to go to finally separate to go to her classes. It was only then that people finally realised that the handsome man was in fact Tie Zhu causing the rumours from yesterday to intensify. Especially when they saw that Bing Meifeng actually took the initiative to sit next to Tie Zhu with a shy expression on her face, completely destroying the image of a frost queen.

When it was finally time for lunch, the three met up as planned. At first there was still some tension in the air, however it did not last too long as they finally started talking to each other. Although Tao Keke and Bing Meifeng had spoken to each other before, they could not be considered very close, but after getting to know each other more they found that they actually had a few common interests and could somewhat call each other friends.

In fact it even reached the point where Tao Keke told Bing Meifeng some of Tie Zhu embarrassing secrets, leading both of them to make fun of him. Although this caused him to feel somewhat depressed he took it lightly as he was still glad that the two women were getting along. Although Bing Meifeng was happy that she had made new friends and gained a deeper understanding of Tie Zhu and Tao Keke, she couldn't help but feel a faint sense of sadness after realising how close Tie Zhu and Tao Keke were.

What made the situation worse was that while Tie Zhu and Tao Keke had their date tomorrow, she had to meet Long Dahai bastard. Although she planned in rejecting him straight away the thought of having to even meet him soured her mood.
