Chapter 35 - Fighting

This was his first time facing a beast in battle, and despite his training, he was still an ordinary person until recently.

"It's too much for something like this to appear right at the start," he muttered.

The Kobold Warrior stood ready, its greatsword raised in a state of battle-readiness. Its tense posture heightened the tension in the air, sending a shiver through Leo.

"Weakness detected," Leo whispered as he activated his skill.

An invisible wave swept through the air, identifying the Kobold Warrior's weaknesses: its brain, heart, and lungs—the usual vulnerabilities of ordinary creatures.

"Epic rank, damn it..." Leo cursed softly.

Seeing that Leo wasn't making any immediate moves, the Kobold Warrior seemed to interpret the situation as an opportunity. With a roar, it charged forward.

The distance between them was less than 30 meters, and on two legs, the Kobold was faster than most dogs or humans.
