Ernie's Observation

When Ernie have notice his future friend Ronald. He haven't paid attention to Ronald or curious at him at first. Just like the other people, his attention was focused on One and Only Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived. He wanted to know what was so special and different from him other than the tale of him defeating Voldemort when he was just a baby. Then just like everyone, he was shock when Harry Potter was put into the Slytherin.

He was a pureblood but he was different from the stereotype pureblood who was prejudice against the muggleborns and magical creatures. Still, he wondered what was so different to Harry Potter to be put into the Slytherin. How curious, he wanted to learn. Just like him, Hannah and Susan were also curious of Harry Potter. Their recent muggleborn acquaintance Justin, whom they meet at the train compartment has asked Hannah why Harry Potter is popular. She started to tell the story of Harry Potter defeating the Dark Lord when he was just a baby.

Ernie immediately lost his interest at the other students, he was staring at Harry Potter on the Slytherin table just like the some students.

"Weasley, Ronald!"

But his interest was piqued, when a red haired boy slowly walked his way towards the sorting hat. When he meant slow, it was literally slow. His interest was piqued. For someone whose brothers are all Gryffindor, his nervousness are showing on his face. Weasley's face are literally saying 'Ahh! I'm so nervous! I'm not ready! I don't want to go'. The other students are also amuse by his face, through Ronald was too busy in his own world worrying about himself to notice some students amuse by him. He was an odd one.

Ernie shouldn't be surprised when Ronald was put into Hufflepuff. But he did, after all, the Weasley's are always a true and courageous Gryffindor. But Ronald Weasley stuck out like a true Oddball. When Ronald begged Professor McGonagall to sort him again, just like the other Hufflepuffs, he was displeased by his behavior.

What's wrong with being a Hufflepuff?

It was unexpected when Ronald was put into the same room as him.

" Hi, I'm Wayne Hopkins! It would be my first time experience sharing a room with anyone... Nice to meet you all!"

Ronald smiled and introduced himself. " I'm Ronald Weasley. "

After that it was Justin turn to introduce and followed by him. He does some casual talk with the other people in the room. They bid each other good night and that's how their day of September 1 ended.

When September 2 approached, He woke up to find Justin very excited for their first day of lessons. Wayne was already with some other first year Hufflepuff called Oliver Rivers. The First day and their first Subject was History of Magic. That was a great off putter for his mood in studying. Justin also learned that Ghost isn't cool as he thought. They can lull you to sleep. When Weasley managed to be in the Class, he didn't bother to apologize to Professor Binns. On Tuesday on Herbology and Wednesday on Charms, Weasley was late again. Susan noticed it and decided to talk with Weasley and help him from getting lost. He was grateful to Susan who offered her help. Hannah began talking to him and casually talk to him about some mundane stuffs and interesting things that happened in the School. Unconsciously Weasley was inducted into their group.

Ernie find it strange, that despite being the little brother of the Weasley Twins who was famous for not getting lost and treating the Hogwarts like their home, their little brother was the Opposite. Ronald would always get lost no matter what on his first few weeks at Hogwarts. He started to find Ronald, As the Youngest Weasley insisted to call him by that name, Interesting. Ronald didn't like being called Ron just how he despise being called Ernest and preferred to being called Ernie.

On the Lessons, Ronald has also unconsciously established himself as a Teacher's Pet even through he was clueless about it. Every time that he was called in the classes, his face was just too amusing. It was like he was experiencing a very dreadful matter. He noticed how he tried to make himself inconspicuous and small, but he was failing spectacularly. He would always get the correct answer when asked and contributing in Hufflepuff points even it was just a little.

The Ravenclaws is competitive, Ronald unconsciously attracted their hate and specifically a One First Year Ravenclaw whose name was Terry Boot. In Ernie's Opinion, he thinks that Snape tolerate Ronald the most in their class. The said professor would always ignore Ravenclaws who keep raising their hands to ask different questions on every lessons nonstop. (If he would be a Professor someday, he would make sure that he wouldn't taught Ravenclaws no matter what.) They were a bunch of frightening curious children who keep asking questions nonstop.

In the days that he spent with his Friends and Ronald, he discovered many unusual yet interesting things about him. He avoided his Brothers like a Plague. He would immediately hide under the table if he notice One Percy Weasley would approach the Hufflepuff Table. He would also excuse himself in a Bathroom Break or other stuffs if Percy Weasley decided to visit the Hufflepuff common room.

In case of the Weasley Twins, It was either resulted of Ronald being pranked and him glaring at Weasley Twins or Running very fast while the Weasley Twins keep chasing after him.

" Why are you insisting on pestering me, Damn It!!!"

" Language Icky Ronnikins!"

" Little Ronnie what would Percy say if he heard you curse?"

" Bloody Hell, I don't care!!"

It was obvious that he have a strange relationship and bond with his brothers.

Another thing that he noticed has made their self known in the so called "Hermione and Draco" fight. Ronald knew spells that was beyond first year knowledge. Ernie chided himself when he just notice how Ronald dislike Harry Potter and doesn't like talking to him. It was obvious with how he frowned when every time that they keep talking about Harry. Through he still wonders if he dislike Harry, why does he always try to 'discreetly' glance at Slytherin table? He was failing at it spectacularly.

Ronald was decent with Quidditch thought it was noticeable that he was always at Average on the Flying Lessons. He loved every magic lessons where they would learn useful spells and took it like an excited muggle born. He always does well in Test which resulted to more hostility from the Ravenclaw. Thank Merlin, that they would just encounter the Ravenclaws on Double Potions in Thursday.

Ronald is an interesting friend. He knows where to go in the Kitchen despite being lose during the First few weeks. He was polite to House Elves. He loves eating foods and a big eater. He obviously dislike Professor Quirrel's class which was understandable with the stuttering and them not learning anything useful. He doesn't like to talk much and dislike engaging in useless conversations. He preferred listening and being quiet. When ask he would answer. He rarely lose his temper and got into useless fight. Ernie was ashamed to admit that he would always come into disagreement with Susan and Hannah. Ronald would be always there to solve their disagreement and insist that they should apologize to each other. It was weird when he would always pat their heads after the fights.

Ernie woke up with his friends, Hermione and Neville and lastly Draco and his Sidekicks on the Third Floor Corridor. He remembered how Hermione and Draco ended up in a fight again and intervened causing him and his friends to be dragged into the Fight when draco insulted him.

Their head of houses was displeased and it resulted in deduction of points. As Dumbledore announced the points of each houses, Hufflepuff 400, Ravenclaw 426, Gryffindor 470 and Slytherin 498 points. The other houses have groaned saying they were tired at Slytherin's being the winner of house cup every year.

The Second week of June, Thursday the leaving feast has finally ended declaring the Slytherin as the Winner, Some Accidents happening to Professor Quirrel and a few parting words from Headmaster Dumbledore.

Second week, Friday. Students has started leaving the Hogwarts and students started rushing towards the Hogwarts Express. Inside one of the train compartment, they told each other that they would keep contact in the letter during summer.

If his friends have noticed, no one mentioned how Ronald has been quiet and been hovering closer to them since they woke up like a Protective Mother Hen. Ronald has been always a strange yet kind friend.
