Player's Guild

Azviel quickly ate up the bread the woman gave her. "Mmm~ I hadn't had food in so long! So this is what bread tastes like now..." He wiped the crumbs off his mouth. "I need to find out what tag is on top of my head."

He looked around for any mirror. Azviel saw a stall that was selling jewelry that had a mirror. He quickly brushed by the mirror, just slow enough so he could read the letters on top of his head.

[Player Azviel Rael]

[Level 1]

The letters were now in a green color. Azviel tilted his head. "Level 1? Strange...I don't feel any weaker." He turned around to move away from the stall, but crashed into someone else. He instinctively unsheathed his sword in front of him.

There was a girl in light armor and a dagger sheathed at her waist. "Owie! Hey hey! Don't hurt me! It was an accident!"

Azviel quickly read the name on top of the girl's head.

[Player Gale Ele]

[Level 17]

He sheathed his sword back. "My apologies. It was a habit." Gale stood up and frowned. "Yeah, I can see why. As a Level 1, you must do everything you have to do to survive. Getting tasks from the Player's Guild is a great way to level up! Do you want me to show you there?"

Azviel thought for a moment. "Yes, thank you." If he could get into the Player's Guild, then he could possibly catch up with what happened in the two hundred years while he was in the dungeon.

Gale pointed to the tall structure in the North. "That's the Player's Guild building! And you don't have to be so formal! All they require is a small strength test to see what rank you are. Then all the information will be given to you! Oh, and be careful of orange players!" She pointed to the name tag above her. "Orange player have an orange name. That means they have killed another player. So be careful out there, Az-vi-el!" She dragged out each syllable of his name like a song.

Azviel nodded. "Thank you." Then, he started going towards the Player's Guild. He sighed as his stomach growled. "I forgot that I have to eat food...But I don't have any money. I should head to the Player's Guild first."

He walked to the guild and pushed the wooden doors open. A girl in a green uniform bowed and beckoned himself. "Welcome fellow Player-" She spotted his bloodied cloak and screamed.

Instantly, Players started trying to see what was going on. The girl scrambled backwards on the floor. "B-B-Blood!"

A boy around Azviel's age and wearing a green uniform picked the girl up. "Sorry, Mr. Kael. Heia over here is still inexperienced and a trainee. Please forgive her rudeness."

Azviel nodded and looked at the boy's name.

[Ashwyn Lok]

[Level: 83]

He nodded. "It's fine."

Ashwyn placed Heia on the couch and went to the front desk. "How may I help you, Mr. Kael?"

Azviel walked up to him. "I would like to register to join the Player's Guild."

Ashwyn tilted his head. "Are you sure? You're a Level 1. You still have to take the assessment, so I can rank you between E to S."

Azviel took the registration form that was in front of him. "I'm sure."

As he was filling it out, a Player ran through the front door holding a scroll. "Ashwyn! L-Look at this!" The girl was panting, completely out of breath.

Ashwyn dipped his head towards Azviel. "Excuse me, Mr. Kael."

The girl's name was Jaon and she was a level 54. Jaon panted and held up the scroll. "A-Ashwyn. The two-hundred year old dungeon finally collapsed today. They say that the squad that went in killed the Demon Lord as they were killed themselves."

Ashwyn immediately grabbed the scroll from her hand. "The two-hundred year dungeon? The Demon Lord? The one that slaughtered thousands of people?"

She nodded. "Yes! The dungeon is finally cleared! Unfortunately, no one knows of the loot that was inside..."

He shrugged. "No matter. A two-hundred year old dungeon cleared is an unimaginable feat. Cheers to the Nameless Army Clan!"

Ashwyn walked back to the front desk. "Sorry Mr. Kael. We were busy talking about the two-hundred year dungeon that was finally cleared. You may sign the form now."

Azviel took a pen and started writing. He murmured, "Two-hundred year dungeon, Demon Lord...Ah, it must have been when I got teleported out."

Ashwyn tilted his head. "Sorry? I didn't hear what you said."

Azviel shook his head. "Nothing." He quickly filled out his name, level, and age. For the ability section, he simply put [Physical Enhancement]. He didn't want his shadow flames to be found out.

Ashwyn took the paper and scanned over it. "Azviel Kael...level 1...Okay! Now, all you have to do is come with me. You may take the entrance assessment."

He led Azviel down a hallway that was lit up with torches. He then opened a door to which many different people were sitting in.

Some stood when they saw Ashwyn. "Hey! Are you going to start the assessment or not?"

Ashwyn dipped his head. "We are going to start once I get Mr. Kael settled with the rules." The man who called out turned away. "Why bother with a level 1..."

Azviel ignored him and turned back to Ashwyn. "What is this test?"

Ashwyn pointed at the corner of the room. There was a bowl with pieces of paper inside. "You merely have to take a piece of paper and that will be the order in which people take the test. Once you get the number, wait in line and you will be called up. Everybody's ability is different, so everyone will have different tests."
