Hearing Tiehuo's indignant rebuttal, Uchiha Itachi was taken aback. However, he quickly regained his composure, his own anger evident as he stood up and retorted, "It's evident you failed to control yourself and tarnished the Uchiha clan's name. Yet, you shift the blame onto the Third Hokage. As a member of the Uchiha clan, you lack the responsibility and courage expected of the Uchiha."

This marked the first time Uchiha Itachi revealed an angry expression. Having joined Anbu, he was well aware that Konoha's senior management was not involved in these incidents. He understood Tiehuo's troublesome nature and, as an elite of the police force, Tiehuo had the option to withhold cooperation with the Torture Department temporarily. However, Uchiha Itachi insisted on grounding Tiehuo within the Uchiha clan, allowing Anbu to investigate the truth behind the incidents.

Uchiha Itachi was fully aware that Tiehuo might be capable of such actions. Since the end of the war, Itachi had joined Anbu and hadn't interacted with Tiehuo, maintaining an impression from their earlier encounters. The Torture Department's investigation yielded results that the accused Uchiha girl had admitted to being a murderer, and her death during torture validated the department's findings.

Frustrated that the actions of these two Uchiha clansmen had damaged the entire clan's reputation, Uchiha Itachi's fury grew. Instead of urging introspection from the accused, the clan members were contemplating a coup, an extreme measure that disappointed Itachi deeply.

Recalling what Danzo had told him before the meeting, Uchiha Itachi recognized the depth of the "Uchiha disease." Danzo had asserted that if not restrained, the village might resort to force to eliminate the Uchiha threat. Itachi realized the responsibility placed on him to prevent such dire consequences.

Tiehuo, agitated, activated his Sharingan, causing the pupils of his eyes to emit a faint red light. In response, Uchiha Itachi, unafraid, activated his own Sharingan. Tiehuo questioned Itachi's trust in outsiders over his clansmen and criticized Itachi's lack of loyalty.

Itachi, defending his perspective, reminded the clan of the village's faith in Uchiha power during the war. He pointed out that, despite the casualties suffered by other clans, the Uchiha clan emerged with minimal losses, thanks to the efforts of Uchiha Natsu. This revelation shocked and angered the clan members, who couldn't accept the village benefiting from the sacrifices of their own.

Fugaku sensed the escalating tension and intervened, claiming that Itachi had been deeply deceived by Konoha's high-level figures. The other clan members found solace in this explanation, believing Itachi had been misled.

Finally making a decision, Fugaku instructed Itachi to strengthen their equipment and prepare for a coup. The Uchiha members in the hall, excited by the prospect, stood up in unison. Despite knowing the difficulty of a coup with their current power, they were driven by the desire to reclaim Uchiha Natsu's lost reputation.

As the hall emptied, Uchiha Itachi, blocked by the departing clan members, felt a sense of disappointment. The Sharingan in his eyes faded, and he sighed, "It's not that I'm sick; it's that you are sick." He turned and left the hall.

Fugaku, observing Itachi, called him to stay behind, wanting to share something with him. Itachi complied, and the clan association was officially disbanded.

Father and son, Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Itachi were the only ones left in the hall. Fugaku instructed Itachi to come closer, facing the stele, and asked him to use his Sharingan to read the inscriptions. Itachi, surprised at first, quickly grasped the meaning behind the inscriptions, understanding that only those with Sharingan could decipher the content, and the amount comprehended depended on the Sharingan's level. Fugaku explained that even with the Mangekyou, only a portion of the content could be understood.
