I take care of the house !
The next day dawned after they had rested together in an inn. This time, Morrigan woke up on the floor, clinging to his legs, totally shocked. It seemed to have been one of the strangest nights of his life. He had been completely controlled during the past night; his thoughts wandered among many things. Why had she made it so special like that? What led her to that extent? He didn't expect any of this; it was a night of sleep, Morrigan had been innocent...
He then got up still breathless, picking up his clothes again. This time, he had clothes that the inn provided; they were more organized and less worn out than what he had. He had the uniform delivered by Delial to wear over his common clothes.
Descending the stairs, the sound of food being cooked was heard, the sizzling of a frying pan with butter and the smell of frying eggs was felt. The small crackling of the butter lured him like a bull to the slaughterhouse. He then arrived smiling, seeing Goddess in simple and more discreet clothes, wearing an apron. She seemed very happy cooking. He then said, "Cooking?" She shook everything from side to side in the frying pan and then put a hand to her chest, "You scared me! Are you crazy?" she said after almost dropping everything, and then pointed to the table, "There are some ready!"
She said this as he looked at the table, with fresh bread bought by her, and eggs on the side, with some fruits and juice on the table. "Did you do all this? What time did you wake up?" he asked, sitting at the table as she brought the last batch of eggs, three of them, all white and the three yellow yolks forming a surprised face. "I decided to take a walk around here; I liked the neighborhood. They are funny. We could find a place nearby!" She said to him, while he felt his heart racing with that; she was treating him as if they were a couple.
"Can we have a talk about us today? How about taking advantage of now for that?" he asked while serving himself, already caught up in various confusing thoughts. As she sat down, she poured juice and said with a very open face to that conversation, "What do you want to talk about? And about last night? Didn't you like it?" She asked with a heart-breaking smile, making Morrigan blush, hitting both hands on the table embarrassedly, "It's not that!" he said trying to escape those memories.
"What are we? I'm not a child; I don't want to keep thinking that we're a couple or anything like that, and then you simply show up with someone else, and I think we're something important..." He said, getting sad, making the goddess depart from her usual expression to something a little concerned, while she continued to serve herself, "You didn't want to? You could have told me..." she said a little upset, perhaps, while continuing, "I thought we were adult enough to know what happened yesterday..." After saying that, he seemed to feel a little guilty, and then continued, "You don't really want something with me; you know that!"
"But aren't we friends enough to do this kind of thing?" she asked in the most natural way possible, and he then took a deep breath, "Maybe I'm being immature, I haven't had so many relationships; I don't know how to deal with what I'm feeling..." the goddess then laughed timidly, for her, that was so unusual that she could hardly handle it; it was even kind of cute from Morrigan's part. "I don't know any other man in this world, literally, and I felt comfortable enough for what happened, Morrigan, you don't have to blame yourself..."
Even though she spoke in a positive way, Morrigan's heart was confused, and then while they ate, he asked, "So what are we?" He asked to finally end the discussion, and she then reached out to him, gently and said, "We are friends, Morrigan, but I am comfortable relating to you in an adult way, if necessary, it's a friends-with-benefits situation! They had that on the earth where you lived!" she said that making Morrigan feel a little disappointed; it wasn't exactly what he wanted, but he couldn't extend it too much, as a fight could start there.
"All right..." he said a little quieter, making the goddess understand that he seemed a little disappointed; somehow, she also seemed upset, why would he be like that? It was everything someone could want, according to her mind, but Morrigan wasn't that kind of person.
"I have to look for the training unit that I'll participate in activities, and our home, Goddess, so I should leave today! Make yourself at home!" he said neutrally, making the goddess feel disconcerted; why did it suddenly seem like he was the mature person in the relationship? The truth was that he was just upset, but that attitude crushed the mind of the goddess, who despite being a goddess, was in the body of a young girl of 25 years old, and had to respond to the nature of the human body...
"Okay, Morrigan! I'll take care of the house!" she replied smiling, trying to show that she had dealt with it the best way possible. Morrigan then got up from the table slowly, and she cleared her throat, making him turn to her again, seeing that she was sitting with her legs crossed, arms outstretched, demanding a farewell hug from them; what kind of attitude was that? Morrigan then took a deep breath with his heart pounding, and then went to her, who hugged him tightly, knowing that despite everything, he was available to her, even though upset, it was a test of the older mind of Goddess wanting to know if Morrigan was or wasn't in love; it was much easier for her to know...
Both then said goodbye, and he needed to find many things; his life as a knight had just begun...
