Firms Can Shut Down

"Oh" Erica casually acknowledged.

"Yeah"

Steve then stood up from his seat and walked towards her and he sat on the kitchen platform a meter away from the stove.

"You might not remember but I had an amazing time with you." Steve confessed to her.

"Oh" Erica tried not to let his words again affect her, it really took a long time for her to get over him and she did not intend to fall for him all over again.

She kept telling herself this but subconsciously she knows she is still not over him and even his minute actions have a huge effect on her.

"You really don't remember anything?" Steve asked her while looking at her who was seriously cooking food for him.

"It is over five years now, I therefore don't remember" She looked at him apologetically.

"It's okay" He smiled at her and sniffed the food she was cooking as he was just a meter away from the pot, "Fuck, this smells so good, I really missed this fragrance" Steve informed her leaning towards the pot and enjoying the smell.

"Hey" Erica pushed him back, "Are you mad? It is dangerous." she scolded him for his actions.

Steve chuckled when he heard her words, "I am not a child"

Erica rolled her eyes at him, "Then stop acting like one"

He again laughed seeing her frustrated.

He jumped down from the platform and went back to sit on the dining table as Erica was almost done cooking.

"By the way, the reason I came here is because there is someone in the Seattle branch who is leaking confidential information to our rivals." Steve suddenly told her of the reason for him being here.

"What? Seriously?" Erica looked at him in shock as what she heard was not a small thing, it was huge if Steve is telling the truth.

"Yeah, I therefore I had to personally come here as my dad does not trust anyone else to handle this problem"

"How serious is it?"

"Very serious, S.H. Law Firms can shut down serious."

"Fuck" Erica cursed and Steve laughed.

"It seems you curse a lot"

"Steve please focus on the important part here" Erica transferred the noodles to a bowl and placed it in front of him and she sat across, facing him.

He focused on the food and ate the noodles, "Oh my god, this is so fucking tasty, Erica you cook even better than you did in the past." He praised her and ate another spoonful of noodles.

"Steve, you just told me something so serious and the next moment you are enjoying food, are you out of your mind?"

"Erica, I was worried about it but after meeting you I feel like I can tackle any problem, so I am relaxed now." He brightly smiled at her and continued eating.

Erica again tried to not let his words get to her, "Steve, please be serious."

"I am, cook for me like this and I can do anything in life."
