Chapter Ten: Responsibility's

Today is the day of the feast for me & Myra it's a celebration was me learning how to fly & being the fastest to also ever do it; it's also an appreciation & our way of saying thanks to Myra for helping me. While everyone is busy setting up & prepping for tonight's feast Mira takes me & Myra to go train while everyone is busy.

"Hey, Keeley there's something I want to ask you later."

"Oh, yea? Well just make sure you don't forget."

"Don't worry I won't."

The more I practice aerial combat training the better I get the hang of flying. Today is the day I tell my parents about the goal that I set out for myself although I can already tell that they will disapprove of it. I mean I don't see why they would though because it is my life & something I've been longing to do for a while now.

You see my goal is to set out on an adventure & find my two best friends & set out on adventures with them. But some of my problems is I don't know if they are seeking the same or if they have their own goals that they want to achieve but that doesn't matter to me because I believe we can help each out with our goals.

But I only have one lead for only one of them & that one is Theo. Kendra just so happened to have a kid named Theo at the same time I was born. I believe if I become an adventurer, I may get other leads or even a chance to meet him to find out for sure. There is one more thing that's been on my mind & that is will he remember me? Did he & Mirai retain their memories?

If they didn't will I be able to help them remember or not I'm hoping that Theo kid is my best friend. I know you're probably saying why don't you just have someone send an Invitation so you can finally meet. Well, that's easier than said to be honest he's a member of the Spec Ops who's usually on a lot of missions. Plus, the county of Xadia & my country Quendi the land of the elves is not that close.

It may seem that way from time to time but the only reason we get along is because of a peace treaty between each other. You see the elves don't get along with anyone the Sun Elves barely get along with the Moon Elves but that's a story for another day the Sun Elves realized that if war was to ever break out again that they will have no support what so ever. So, they needed to have some kind of support but not just any kind they needed a powerhouse that they can trust.

So, my country sparked the idea with the dragon King & Queen of the country Xadia. The main reason they chose them was that we both share the same continent Arcadia & both parties will be able to respond & react quickly enough to major situations. We only have a population of around 18.8 million with only two elven races which are the Sun Elves aka the Day Elves & the Moon Elves aka Night Elves.

Sun Elves do guard duty during the day while the Moon Elves are at night. Sun Elves get their power from the sun while the Moon Elves get theirs from the moon also Sun Elves' powers are quadrupled during the day & Moon Elves are quadrupled during the night. Sun Elves are trained in the art of the warrior while Moon Elves are trained in the art of the ninja. It was almost time for the feast so the three of us started to head back to get ready for the party.

"Hey, Keeley before we head out you remember when I said I wanted to ask you something?"

"Oh, yea I remember so what did you want to ask me?"

"Can I stay here with you? You know by your side?

Myra's question caught me by surprise but it does have my curiosity. So happily, I asked "I would love to but I have to ask why. Like are you sure because I'm curious about why you asked?"

"Yea sure that's at least I could do well for starters just like you I don't get along with my parents also you're my only real friend. Everyone back home is all fake or either one of the people that think that they are better than everyone because they are rich & what not."

"Well, I don't see no problem with that plus I would love for us to be friends because the only other friend I have is Mira. She's not like the others here & that's what I love her also this is awesome because you can help us become adventurers."

"Of course, I was going to ask you about that also what are you going to do about your parents?"

"Don't worry about them I'll tell them tomorrow because I don't wanna ruin tonight's fun because it's going to be a whole heated argument when I tell them."

"If you want, I can be there to back you up as well."

"Yes, I would love that very much the more the better."

So, we finished talking & headed out to greet all the guests & thanked them all for coming out & to please enjoy themselves. The food here is amazing though also this is one of the few times we can mostly all get along. My father as always during these kinds of events always drinks way too much or challenges people to a drinking contest.

I decided to leave a little early because I had enough fun & food for one night. Both Mira & Myra left with I told them that I was heading to the star-gazing platform to lay down & look at the stars. They both wanted to tag along I mean I didn't mind at all especially since this will be Myra's first time coming here.

We laid there in silence for a little while gazing at the stars & looking at the constellations. After we had got our fill & headed back home, we each went our separate ways to bed down & prepare for tomorrow because we are going to need it. I woke up earlier than usual because I wanted to tell my parents again about my plans & goals in life.

I send word to one of the servants to tell my parents to meet me in the garden inside of the gazebo in 5 minutes because I would like to have a word with them. As she heads to do what I've requested I have Mira, & Myra comes with me outside to the gazebo to wait for my parents to come. Of course, they show up late like 15 minutes late who do they think they are? Anyways wait until they sit down before I started.

"Hello, mother, father thanks for showing up next time come the both of you be on time for once."

"Keeley, you don't talk to your parents like that we deserve respect." <Keeley's Dad>

"What did you want to talk about?" <Keeley's Mom>

"I'm here to tell you both that I'll be leaving on an adventure soon & becoming an adventurer with Myra's help."

As I said that both of my parents had this look on their faces like not this nonsense again.

"Sweetie we've already had this conversation & me & your mom already told you no & that your focus should be here," he said in an annoyed tone.

"Exactly like your father has said what we say is final & end of discussion."

"If I may Ava has every say in her life choices I mean after all this is her life." <Mira> She says boldly.

"Who is Ava!? Also, who do you think you talking to you're just a servant!!" <Keeley's Mom> she says angrily.

"Keeley is Ava that's her nickname you know like an alias she told us to call her that. Also, I agree with Mira it is her life she has more say than the both of you."

"We are not going to sit here & take this kind of treatment from some kids & a servant we are the adults here & your parents what we say are final also you're not old enough yet you have to be at least 10 years old plus we are the King & Queen of this country our say is absolute." <Keeley's Dad>

Just then as my father says that a beam of light comes down & a feminine but commanding voice says...

"Oh, is that so? Are you sure about that because I beg the differ!"

You wouldn't believe who that person was it was no other than the Goddess Brigitte. My parents, Mira & Myra instantly dropped to the ground & started bowing.

Inside the Celestial Realm, moments before Brigitte appeared in front of Keeley

"Oh, my they are back at it again," Ivy says while shaking her head

"Oh, you're talking about little Ms. Ava are you not? <Brigitte>

"Yes, indeed I am it seems like her parents need a little reality check they are a little too full of themselves."

"Indeed, plus they are too controlling no matter how much Ava fights it they're not going to listen. I mean she's indeed 4 years too young but that shouldn't stop her from traveling or training or anything."

"Oh, my Anubis when did you get here?" <Ivy>

"I've been here don't tell me you've forgotten I'm omnipresent?"

"You know what I mean... how long have you been listening?"

"Long enough but I'm curious as to why are you keeping a close watch on Ava Brigitte.

"Oh, did Lord Riley not tell you both? I've blessed Ava with the ability to use Omni-Magic. Do the other Gods & Goddess not think that I'll have a favorite? If those mortals, Demons, Angels & other deities knew we have favorites some feelings will be hurt."

"I have a suspicion & it looks like I was right. But anyways what should we do about this situation?"

"Don't worry I've been waiting on this exact moment to happen just sit back & watch." <Brigitte>

Back in the present when Brigitte appeared

"Omg Lady Brigitte what are you doing here?" I asked in shock.

"Keeley how dare you to speak so casually to the Goddess Brigitte like that like you two know each other because clearly, you don't." <Keeley's Mom>

"But on the contrary, we do we go way back before she was born."

"What do you mean by that my Goddess?" <Keeley's Dad>

"First all of you stand up & sit down."

As both Mira, Myra & my parents do just that Brigitte tells them not to worry about it & I & her know each other but just know that I've been blessed with the ability to use Omni-Magic. She also scolds them for their behavior & not allowing me to have a say in my own life. So, because of that, she'll be taking me on as her student.

She also says that Myra & Mira are more than welcome to tag along with me. Of course, they both agreed I mean not too many people get the chance to get trained by a God or Goddess. My parents try to protest & list my responsibilities but Brigitte wasn't having it.

"Look you mortals the Gods & Goddess words are absolute isn't that the word you used earlier? I came down here to give both of you a reality check also I'm not about to have the both of you waste my blessing on her. I'm glad it's not though because she's been training in secret."

"Wait what you mean training in secret?"

"Mom, it means just that I've been training for 3 years now & Mira has been my instructor."

"Wait so let me get this straight you've been training behind our backs? Mira for disobeying our orders you'll be punished." Keeley's dad says firmly.

"I don't answer to you I only answer to Keeley your orders mean nothing to me."

"Also, you will not be punishing no one because I say so she did the right thing. Now with that being said Keeley, Mira & Myra you have 96 hours to get prepared."

We all said at the same time yes Lady Brigitte & just like that she vanished. I can tell that my parents were furious but they couldn't do anything but accept it. The three of us are excited to be trained by a Goddess. With that being said the three of us start preparing for our time with Brigitte.
