Earning Her First Eyebags

"We are home!"

Linlin removed her shoes and dashed to the living room followed by Athasia. They found Adreanne there with her eyeglasses, laptop on and on a phone call.

The woman smiled at the kids and gestured her hands to go upstairs first and change since she's still on the phone call.

When they headed down, there was already a bowl of cookies in the living room. The woman called them but Linlin needed to go to the bathroom so it was only Athasia who joined Adreanne.

The woman seemed happy today, wearing that smile on her face. Her daughter sat next to her and asked. "You look happy, mom? How's your fever?" She tapped the woman's forehead and found her temperature normal.

Adreanne holds her hands. "Tashia, listen to me." She pressed her fingers gently. "Mom got a new way to keep the publishing company." Her eyes went to the laptop screen.
