Earth Immortal Freak (1)

The skies were grey, and even though there was a visible and bright sun, the cold air made the pores of even Profound Immortal cultivators rise and sent shivers down their spines.

Even with such a fact known to all, a lone figure swiped his sword with a bare upper body in a snowy field filled with different kinds of flowers that were now coated in a blue aura.

His sword slashes were seamless and beautiful, sharp and deadly, and they carried with them a feeling of detachment and the will to slice anything apart.

Whether it be considered good, or if it was considered bad, whether it was weak, or it was strong, anything in the path of this sword would return to nothingness.

Though the figure didn't radiate an aura whatsoever, even though he seemed to be a normal mortal, the cold that could affect Immortal cultivators didn't seem to affect him.

His figure remained sturdy and steadfast in its actions. It seemed that only he and his sword existed, everything else was extras. If the world collapsed, he'll remain, unhindered.

Xiu!

The long, sharp blade sliced through the air, carrying an incredibly mysterious glow that would leave anyone who saw it with a sense of breathlessness.

It was impossible to understand the origins of this glow, it didn't radiate with any power or desire yet it seemed to be able to bring about the extinction of all life.

Hah!

Hah!

Hah!

This figure, Oblivion, panted a little as sweat streamed down his face. Under his eyes were dark circles as he then sat on the snow surface with his legs folded, calming his mind.

"I've already caught glimpses of Sword Will... If I continue like this, I'll be able to fully enter this realm of comprehension once I become a Profound Immortal. Then I'll be able to create another more powerful sword technique."

From Intent, which was a necessity to becoming an Immortal cultivator, the next realm was Will which Oblivion had begun to break into.

'It'll still take some time though. It depends on how fast I can raise my cultivation, and the only way to raise my cultivation is to kill but, the people inside the Inner Sector are too strong... The only ones remaining are the city lord's people..!'

Thinking this, Oblivion opened his eyes, revealing a pair of large jet-black pupils that seemed to lack any type of emotion. His gaze turned toward a giant castle made of ice.

His pitch-black orbs glimmered ever so slightly as if piercing through the walls and landing on the figure inside.

Sigh!

"This'll be troublesome..."

...

...

"For my self-created battle art to improve, my cultivation base must enter the Profound Immortal realm but, for that to happen, sitting inside here wouldn't help."

Standing a few meters away from an emotionless Cecelia who adorned an unreadable expression, Oblivion cautiously conveyed his reasoning for leaving.

"Okay."

"Look, I understand that you don't w-!" Oblivion began persuading her once more but, his words came to a halt upon the realization that Cecelia had agreed.

"What...?!"

Cecelia adorned a slight smirk after seeing Oblivion's reaction. He had expected her to make some sort of resistance.

Though he couldn't fight his way out or escape, he could still try to reason his way out of her clutches. But, who'd expect that Cecelia agreed outright?

"Did you think I'll stop you..?" Cecelia's cold and aloof voice resounded within the room. "I'm quite interested in the way you people grow, so you going out to raise your cultivation is something that I'd have forced you to do even if you didn't want to. "

"The fact that you're willingly doing it, is something that simply makes my wishes come true much faster and more seamlessly."

As she said this, the temperature in the room dropped from a wave of her hand that released an endless ray of blue aura that went on to wash over Oblivion's body.

Urgh!

Even though he could naturally negate elemental powers, it was only to powers that were within a certain level but, Cecelia, as a Golden Immortal, her elemental power was simply too much for Oblivion's negation to take effect.

A soft groan escaped his lips as a shiver ran up his spine. The cold aura seemed to focus mostly on his glabella though, sending waves of sensations akin to brain freeze through his mind.

Appearing on his glabella, a blue gem-like object in the shape of a crescent took form. Oblivion was left shivering from the moment it made its appearance.

For him, it was as if this object could freeze even the sun..! As if even the concepts of space and time would be left frozen in its presence.

"With this, you can now leave. I'm sure it would be troublesome if you were to encounter a Golden Immortal." Cecelia stopped talking, but upon seeing Oblivion's confused expression, she explained.

"With this symbol, none of the Golden Immortals in this region should dare to attack you... if they dare to though, it'll be no different than offending me, so none would dare."

Oh...?

"It seems your status in this place isn't low..." Oblivion was greatly surprised by the confidence that Cecelia's words permeated.

To confidently proclaim that Golden Immortals would be too scared to offend her, wasn't that saying that she was confident in suppressing any Golden Immortal in this place?!

Of course, it could also mean that she was overconfident but, Oblivion assessed her over the time that he was here... She isn't the type to boast, not unless she's fully confident in her words. Then, that wasn't boasting but simply stating facts.

"Even if this may be unrealistic, what if all the Golden Immortals inside this region decide to team up on you? Wouldn't having this symbol place me as someone related to you..? Then, wouldn't I be in just as much shit as you...?!"

Oblivion was a confident person. The natural confidence he radiated was something that didn't contain any arrogance whatsoever though, so he was also rather cautious.

No, he didn't consider himself cautious, he simply did the bare minimum to maintain his safety. It was just that, in this world, it seemed people were much too careless and brazen, so he came off as cautious.

"You need not worry too much though. From what I understand, Golden Immortals are the true powerhouses of the Universe. The actual amount of Golden Immortals isn't even 1% when compared to Profound Immortals." Cecelia said...

"Now, the amount of lifeforms in a race like the Human race is a lot but, the amount that could reach the Immortal realms is very little. The ones that could reach the Profound Immortal realm are even less, and for the Golden Immortal realm, it is much much less."

"Not even 10% of those Golden Immortals would leave their territories, and of that 10% or less, the amount that is present inside the Inner Sector is much less."

"Now, out of all the ones that came into the Inner Sector, how much would be present inside this particular island? Out of those, how much would be in this particular region...?!"

When she broke it down to this level, Oblivion couldn't counter-attack. Hearing her words, he had taken away many things from them.

'It seems that her origin isn't simple. "From what I understand"... A human from the Cosmos wouldn't place their words like this...?'

Oblivion pondered on this for a while. Though it seemed unimportant at first, the ramifications of this statement could lead to the eventual origin of the Heavenly Mystic Domain. At first, it wouldn't really seem important but...
