A transaction with Gerhart of Aelle 1

After leaving the Elven camp, Viz was back at the nearly destroyed cultist castle.

"I sure did a number."

Seeing the number of dead beasts lying around, Viz felt amazed.

He even doubted himself. Did I really kill this many of them?!

"time for candies!"

With no further due, Viz turned them into candies and collected them all.

And this was one of the reasons why he was back at this site.

Viz has doubts about his golden finger.

After exiting the toms mode, why wasn't he feeling hungry?!

Isn't it normal to feel hungry after expending that much energy?!

Then what actually happened when he lost his conscious?!

How did he even survive that evil entity?!

There were many questions and unfound answers that he couldn't solve them.

Though he had a vague guess that it might be related to the diminishing of an avatar inside the gods' wheel.

And it was the first thing he found when he woke up.

*cough*

Maybe the first thing after noticing Eda Emean.

But anyway, when the term diminishing was used, it didn't mean that the blurry Avatar became small… it's just that its luster dimmed.

Now that he couldn't find clues even after coming to this castle.

Viz threw these unsolvable questions to his future self and started searching for valuable items.

"The tome of necromancy… vol 1…"

Moving the floor rubble, Viz picked a dark book and started reading the book.

… or to the normal mages. He was just flipping the pages rapidly.

But in reality, it wasn't. It's just Viz's comprehension was monstrous.

"a nice introduction to necromancy, pity though the author's name wasn't mentioned…" Viz closed the book, "need to find other books and read it."

It didn't take long. Viz found every magic related book and artifacts.

After placing the things orderly, he started reading the books.

Fifteen minutes later, he finished them all.

Viz gained knowledge in the field of necromancy and Goetia.

In simple terms, his magic concept related to death and magic concept related to summoning devils and other wordly creatures increased.

There were other sub class magic books, but Viz gained a little.

Before facing Kitsu, the master of illusion magic, Viz wanted to have a method to resist illusion magic.

Though he wouldn't mind improving in other fields if the opportunity presents itself.

It was a backup.

Which Viz thing he needed.

As he didn't want to get toyed like Vesemir did after falling into the illusion magic of Kitsu in the Witcher night mare of the wolf series, where he killed his own people and even his old lover, madam Zerbst, thinking he was killing enemies.

If it weren't for old man Deglan, Viz was sure, even Vesemir, would have died at the end.

"Would Gerhart allow me into the Ban ard's library if I donate these books to him?" Viz thought as his finger taped to his chin. "worth a try."

Gerhart was the oldest living magician. He was the founder of the Ban Ard academy for boys and was presiding over it.

Though he had other terrible identities, the highest member of brother hood of sorcerers, and a member of 'chapter of the gift and the art'.

To the present mages he was a guy to be admired… An Idol worthy of respect.

The major reason Viz preferred him first than any other mages because he was a kind old man, and though banned, his Ban Ard academy just happens to be interested in necromancy and Goetia.

****

Ban Ard academy.

Inside the head office…*sigh* it would be more accurate to say an office cum laboratory.

Cause Gerhart turned his office into a laboratory.

As He finds it a waste of time, travelling from office to laboratory.

Donned in extremely modest, simple woollen clothes, surrounded by his pages, he appeared to be doing an experiment.

The experiment subject was a white crystal, looked exactly like a magic crystal found in the northern realms.

Unlike the magic crystals that were created by harpies and occurred naturally, this white crystal was a synthetic product of the experiment.

But it was a failed product!

This crystal didn't even have a fragment of magic in it.

*puff*

The crystal broke into pieces!

"Another failure. Yet… a step forward to its creation!" Gerhart said.

He wasn't sorry about this failure… failures were stepping stones to success!

Of course, only if managed correctly.

"Note, this was the 326th failure."

"The synthetic crystal existed for four seconds, a second longer than the previous experiment. Need to improve its chose lines…"

As Gerhart was saying, he was interrupted with a bang on the door as it opened forcefully.

Though irritated about who this moron was, but when Gerhart saw it was his lady-servant who seems to be restless expression.

He didn't mind.

"Lord Gerhart!… you must read this!" the lady servant ran to Gerhart and passed a dark book.

"Calm down your breath, peggy." Gerhart took the book. "The tome of necromancy."

His expression becomes serine. Anything related to forbidden magic had to be taken seriously, or else there might be consequences.

Gerhart took his time reading the page before turning it.

slowly his serious face turned into astonishment, "Remarkable theory!"

"Elemental magic needs a lay line to draw chaos from, so does necromancy, but unlike elemental lay lines that appear fixed in semi physical form, necromancy lay Lines summoned specifically to a semi-physical state involving many dark energy factors…."

closing the book, Gerhart turned his face towards the lady- servant and eagerly asked, "where did you find this marvelous book!"

Gerhart knew this book wasn't from his Academy and if it was, he would have already known about it.

when it comes to sub magic classes, because of its nature and being a banned magic, not much progress was made in necromancy.

But this book gave him the conclusion that this book's author was far in front of them, the northern realm mages in the field of necromancy

If there was vol 1, then there should be other volumes!

"Lord Gerhart, a witcher brought it, and he admitted having many books related to forbidd…" the lady-servant hadn't finished.

"show me the way!" Gerhart pulled the lady-servant and rushed out of the laboratory.

the next chap will be in 5 min!
