Strategic Battle and New Friend

The monster's Slimy tentacles began to go against my direction at a high speed.

His dexterity was around 200 points so he was quite fast.

If I had faced the slime instead of the goblin king it would undoubtedly be a battle that I would inevitably escape or get killed by either.

This is not good!

Activating my Vampire aura along with thought acceleration, I begin to dodge the various attacks of the slimes.

Since I had summoned two blood daggers earlier, I began to cut parts of the tentacles.

The slime noticing that none of his attacks hit jumped high enough with the intention of crushing me.

I will not leave you...

Just as the giant slime jumped he ran to the other side dodging the large body of him.

Shock!

Boom!

A crash and explosion sound could be heard, where the slime had landed earlier.

After impacting the ground the slime trembled like a jelly in the middle of an earthquake, then the next moment from his body began to shoot out small tendrils from his body at high speed.

Is he using his body to launch projectiles like bullets!

He was undoubtedly surprised by the slime's strategy.

It seems that in this forest there are monsters capable of putting together small strategies to deal with powerful enemies.

I wasn't sure I could avoid all the projectiles so I decided to use my blood tentacles which the next second got in front of me.

Along with that I could see how his Manacore was moving through his body.

Because the slimes themselves are a liquid mass, they can move their nuclei throughout their bodies, making them harder to kill.

Saying that I cheer myself up as I start running towards the slime.

It somehow detects my intention and conjures up more tentacles, now 15 of which began to attack me.

Guiding my tentacles I begin to use them to block and deflect as I slowly get closer.

The tentacles that I couldn't block or deflect I destroyed with my daggers.

Being about two meters away, I use my four tentacles which come together in one, being thicker and more resistant than before.

The large tentacle stabbed directly into where the slime's Manacore was and the next moment there was a cracking noise.

BOOM!

A loud roar echoed through the forest which made me wince in pain and agony from that scream.

Crack! Crack!

Crraasssh!

The slime's mana core was successfully destroyed and absorbed through my skill.

And with this the Lord Slime's body stopped moving and became nothing more than a viscous liquid with acidic properties on the ground.

Before that acid sprayed me, I managed to get far enough away from the puddle.

It was, it was a tough battle...Yet at the end of the day I'm still alive. I am definitely getting stronger.

After finishing my battle I hear a notification sound from System.

I understand in other words I won't be able to copy skills like shapeshifting a Slime or learn skills that don't suit me.

Given this information, I start to reflect since this ability had a fairly detailed and easy to understand description, however, I am unaware of things about the system and its operation.

The barking of a wolf in pain is the last thing I hear.

Finally after my battle with the slime I was able to find a wolf of the initial stage which without hesitation had hunted it.

Now after separating the skin from him and taking all the blood from him prepare a fire starting to cook the meat.

My stomach was growling with hunger but I ignored it for now.

After an hour later the meat was ready.

Could it be that being just a puppy he has no sense of danger and came closer out of curiosity than anything else?

The wolf cub stands on two legs on top of my legs while giving me such an adorable and innocent look that causes me to give up.

The puppy whimpers adorably as I pick him up and place him on my head.

I know this will screw me up later but I don't care now.

As a precaution I look around the surroundings but I don't see anything approaching.

I guess now I fell into the trap of some kind of plot.

After about two hours walking the puppy fell asleep on top of my head.

He was small enough to sleep without difficulty.

Just like that, night had arrived and I fell asleep in a cave that I found fortunately.
