Although it came to critical thinking when comparing the strengths and weaknesses of all the applicants with the help of Liesl's Intuition, they were able to come with a conclusion.
Since out of 8 applicants, two had failed to take the interview, they were left with six which they had to reasonably choose from. Bruno would have been a nominated choice but his display of discomfort automatically disqualified him.
Emmet didn't want to make any of his employees uneasy and it would only make sense that way if he respected Bruno's unspoken words.
Leaving them with five applicants, they fished out for the three qualified applicants.
