Ybur's heart leaped instantly, and he immediately discussed the doctrines with Saraphido.
As a Zhuoer who had seen much of the world, Saraphido immediately brought out the set of doctrines she had learned within her family. She told Ybur that unlike the sects of the Righteous God, the Zhuoers' cult—yes, the Zhuoers were very clear that what they were practicing was a cult—usually spun a tightly knit and self-consistent logic to explain two things: first, why you must endure your current suffering, and second, how you could escape it all.
Thus, the Zhuoers would invoke the tales of past and present lives, telling everyone, "You suffer in this life because you did too many wrong things in your past life. As long as you endure it well, you will enjoy bliss after death!"
