Chapter 9

It had been 2 days since I saw him, and I felt empty without him.

Just today was my appointment with the gynecologist. I was nervous because I didn't know what was happening to me, I hadn't had my period. I walk towards the reception.

"Welcome, how can I help you?" He asks me.

"I have an appointment with Dr. Anderson," he explained.

He nods. "Go ahead."

I walk to his office, and they hear voices inside. I open the door and find the sacred doctor.

"Juliette?" He says this, turning pale when he sees me.

The other woman quickly looked at me. "So, you're the other Juliette? Interesting."

I look at her, confused. "What's happening?"

"I'm Juliette Reed; it seems like they haven't told you," he says, stopping to see her again. He denies, "A few years ago, I did some studies, and they told me I could have children."

"What does that have to do with me?" He looked at her, confused.

She laughs. "Some idiot mixed up our names; they gave us the wrong results. Congratulations!"

What? It couldn't be true.

I go back to the doctor and ask, "Is it true?"

"Yes, I noticed it a week ago."

"When were you going to tell me?!" I questioned upset.

"I was going to tell you, at your next consultation, but you didn't attend."

"Is it my damn fault?! I should have been informed."

The doctor didn't know what to say to me.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm going to sue you," she said. With that, she left the office.

I sit in one of the chairs, so... I'm probably pregnant. Correction: Yes, yes, I am pregnant.

"I think I'm pregnant," I say, breaking the silence.

"Then let me give you an ultrasound. How long has her period been absent?"

How could I forget something so important?

"I don't remember; I think it was two months ago," I responded, scared.

She nodded, without saying anything, and guided me to the stretcher. "Lie down, please."

I do what she asks me to do while she puts gel on my belly. She started with the review, and for some reason I was feeling nervous.

She stopped moving the device. "Your suspicions are true," she turns to see me, "you are pregnant.

Juliette.

One year later.

Time passed faster than normal. I felt alive and very lucky, Joseph is a dream and we fell more in love every day. It worked very well, the new girl learned pretty quickly.

However, she suffered because people were very cruel and tried to humiliate her, I took care of her. Shelby and Leila started to get along, which calmed me down. I noticed Shelby who was looking at a very handsome boy, she smiled. I walked over to where she was leaning over.

"Who is he?" I asked her quietly, I laughed when she got scared seeing me next to her.

"Cain," she responded without looking away from him. "I was always in love with him, unfortunately when she came back she pretended not to know me. He's nothing different from the others" she whispered.

"Then it's not worth it, if you care what people say" she smiled at him.

She nodded her head "I know, in the end I accepted it" she replied, she left when she saw some customers enter.

I turned to go to the kitchen, but I didn't get that far. A commotion made me go there. I saw a scene I didn't like, Shelby getting slapped. I approached her and pushed the woman.

"What the hell happens to you?" I screamed.

She pretended to be offended. "This bitch shouldn't be here," she said, "looking at her with disgust."

"She has no right to attack an employee. What's her problem?" I asked her, I looked at her husband. "Sir, you should be more cautious and control his wife."

"Don't you know whose daughter she is? Everyone here knows.

"I've heard the rumors, ma'am," I responded, trying to reassure myself, "I honestly don't believe any of them."

"How dare you defend her?" She said she was upset "she's a criminal."

"If I remember correctly, you were arrested for abusing a minor. How dare you?" Nath answered, standing in front of the attackers, he looked at all the people. "I reviewed her entire history, she has been surrounded by psychiatrists all her life and she is not dangerous."

⇛I'm going to ask you to leave, my lawyer will visit you soon. I hope this doesn't happen again.

They left without saying more, she looked at Nath "I'm glad you came."

She smiled "thank you for taking care of my girls" she thanked me and left, but not before checking that Shelby was okay.

There were such bad people in this world.

Chiara.

I looked carefully at my old home, where I was not happy. The last time I was here, I discovered my parents' secrets.

"Are you sure you want to come in?" Dante asked worriedly.

"I left a lot of clothes in this house; I can't get the other ones back." I smiled at his reaction.

Fabrizio and Dante looked at me disapprovingly, but still nodded. They are both bodyguards who are in charge of my security. I was the only survivor; I was lucky to be rescued before they sold me. It was hell.

I walked towards the entrance, hoping they still had the keys under the mat. I started searching, and actually, there were the keys.

"You can wait for me in the living room, if you want," I announced.

I walked in and started walking up the stairs to what used to be my room. Everything was the same, so I started packing everything into my suitcases. Once I finished, I went down, but the boys were no longer alone; my parents had arrived.

"Daughter," my father murmured, smiling.

I approached him and hugged him tightly. "Dad."

"Until the princess deigned to appear," my mother shouted at me, "for four years you disappeared, and now you come back out of nowhere. What the hell is wrong with you?"

I let go of my father and turned to see her. 'When did you care about what I do? You've always left me aside, and now you're going to victimize yourself as a worried mother? Do not make me laugh."

"You are ungrateful."

"You are not who you say you are; you should shut up," I responded angrily. ""It doesn't matter; there was always more time for your other daughter. However, for me, there was nothing. "Let's go; it's not worth it," Fabrizio murmured.

"Where were you, daughter?" Dad asks.

"In hell."

They didn't know she was already damaged enough
