Chapter 22

"Wow, this place is very nice." Mildra gasps in surprise as she stares at the huge buildings.

"Let's get into the mall so I show you around". Becca tells Mildra as she finds a safe spot at the parking lot of the mall to park her car.

"Okay." Mildra replies as they both get down and head towards the entrance of the mall.

"I've been wanting to try this brand of youghurt"; Becca takes a peep at the price and takes a pack of youghurt from the freezer.

"Mildra don't you want anything?. Feel free to choose whatever you like". Becca turns to Mildra who is glued to one spot.

"Umm okay." She mumbles and takes a bottle of fruit juice from the counter and drops it in the shopping cart.

"Is that all you want? My brother gave me his credit card for us to use for shopping. He rarely does that but I guess he wants you to be happy." Becca grins at Mildra and she looks away.

"After shopping we can take the escalator to the upper floor of the mall and grab a bite. I'm already hungry". Becca continues.

"Alright." Mildra answers Becca with a smile.

"So I had a chat with my brother concerning you. He told me your story and I must say you're a strong girl considering your age and what you've been through in life. Fortunately I've had a soft and easy life so I won't hesitate to be of help to you."

"So what are your plans now that you're free?". Becca questions Mildra as they await their food order at the mall.

"I want to continue schooling. I have dreams of becoming a medical doctor in the future."

"Alright, that's very thoughtful. You can become an inspiration to many young girls who are coming from poor backgrounds. You've actually hit a jackpot. Prince, my brother is a practicing doctor at one of the popular hospitals in this country. I will talk to him so we see the way forward. Don't worry about your tuition fees. It will be sorted out."

"Let's hurry up with our food and go home. It's getting late. Becca says to Mildra as they enjoy their food.
