As Thick As Thieves

On Sunday, Amber was as thrilled as Sierra expected her to be about going to the animal shelter. She couldn't stop bouncing and giggling the whole way there. 

"I knew you would be good for Nate! He never would have done something like this without you."

She couldn't help but smile at that, knowing it was true. Her creature-of-habit boyfriend had gone out of his comfort zone for her on multiple occasions when he thought it would make her happy. 

"Hey, I've considered it several times over the years," Nathan said defensively. 

Amber dismissed this. "Yeah, but you never did it until now. Thinking about it doesn't count."

He had no rebuttal for this so he let her have the final word. It was fun watching those two interact. Sierra enjoyed herself every Sunday she had tagged along with them because their relationship was so cute.
