chapter 6 Jin woo part one

Hospital

In a nearby hospital, inside there were injured or sick person can be seen.

Choi Yoora " Please take good care of yourself(blush)"

Jin Woo was doing task by the the system, he was running in the early in morning. Now, he doing push up in a regular basis. Every doctors was concerned about his behavior, they think that he went crazy.

Rumor has it, some patients saw him talking to himself he even touched something in air while complaining.

While happened Jin got released, he immediately went home and changed his shirt. He wear a blue sweater that he got from his closet, he then started to take stroll around the city while wearing a hoodie. Right when he got near a train station, the system pops up giving him a key in his storage.

Jin woo " Let's find out about place and this key"

Jin woo immediately use key to unlock a door in the middle of the station. There a portal can be seen, Jin walk right in there with second thought. Jin then look back at the gate, he try to go back but he can't. He didn't why can't go out, Some girl came towards him and walked straight out without looking back.

Jin woo " What the hell... Is this some kind dimension that only I can see but no els can."

Jin woo see system again and look at the information how to get out. Inorder for him to get out he to defeat the boss, Jin then look down stairs he can see only darkness that awaits him.

Jin woo " I guess, I got no choice but head down."

This place was different from any other dungeon.what he can see now in here basically a jungle for beast.

The walls in here are thick with twisted roots, plants and odour that smells like dead corpse, his senses are sharp he can hear footsteps far away, he even heard howl beast not far from him.

The beast were running towards him, Jin immediately open system

Jin woo " (worried)"

Jin woo pulled out his sword out from his inventory.

Kkkssegkk....

"Roar"

Jin woo was ready for them to attack, he swung his sword in direction of the beast that was running.

Jin woo perfectly slice his head off.

Another one came at him, he definitely dodged that one. He started to see it's name.

' Low level Lycan'

Hower, unlike before, this one was different he had white name, the centipede had a red name but, this one must be weak.

Jin Woo ran hard as fast as he can, he chopped down the beast separated it's Body.

" Roar!"

The Lycan didn't move or wiggle anymore.

Ding!...

[You kill a low level Lycan]

However he still got more coming at him with full speed, he pulled another dagger and cut it. He had that knife from the kitchen since he forgot to put back.

Swishhh!....

Slice.....

The sound of wind cut it's head off, he then punched the beast in the mouth since, his knife was stuck on his.

Jin then grabbed both of his arm and choked the life out of it.

Jin " Hhhaaaa!"

The beast couldn't breathe any more since Jin choked it.

Jin open his eyes wide open and stare at own arm.

What really kill it with little strength. The Lycans flew at him, Jin woo grab his dagger jump on the left side of of the wall.

Jin woo " Damn it, there no end to this!"

Jin ran at the beast and grabbed his mouth, use his dagger to cut his mouth.

Ding!

[ You kill a Lycan]

[Level up!]

Jin woo " (breathing hard)"

His level did went up.

When his level up, a single point was added to his stats.

Jin woo " To think, I can actually level up again"

Although he didn't like the fact that he couldn't freely distribute those points the way he likes, but still, his strength went up so much than before.

Jin woo " I only kill two ferocious beast"

Jin woo was only level 2. It was to exaggerating to say that he level fast, he was not what they called a normal player, his strength stat already exceed 30.

He was thinking that if he kill more you'll level up faster, he then stand up and look back at the dark. He can still sense a strong murders intent coming from the darkness.

" Skksks(howl)"

Jin " I guess, they are still more hiding in the dark(smile)"

Jin was smiling at them.

Jin woo " Look at the xp is coming at me themselves, it's must mean I'm gonna level up more....

Jin woo ran towards the Lycans, the beast also ran towards him, a lot of them. All you hear is system noise ringing.

Ding!

Jin-woo hopped between the first floor and the second floor, the monster were screaming while get kill.

Along the way, he got used to the place, he even saw a monkey hanging on vines.

Jin-woo almost wipe out all the remaining beast on the floor, now he is at floor 12.

This must be the last one, since he can't go back or exit outta here.

When he got there, the place looks like swap fill with dirty water. Just when he got closer, a long and fast object shot out of from surface water.

Swishhh...

Bsshh!!

'It was super fast'

The thing wasn't a objective it giant blue snake.

Jin woo block it's strike and could see it's name but, this time, it's orange. It's probably mid level boss, but he can feel that centipede was way stronger than blue giant snake.

Swish!!

The snake uses tail to attack jin push jin further back hitting the wall.

Bawh!

Jin woo cough out little bit blood, he still stood up. His sword was broken because of impact of snake attack.

Jin " Fuk man, this was my second one"

The snake speed to jin with mouth open, jinwoo jumped on ther side to avoid it's fangs.

Boom!

The snake glare back at him with his eyes, jinwoo glare back it well. They speed up at each other, jin jump on his back slice it.

Swissggg...

He could only cut it's hard skin, he deliberately put all his strength on his second attack causing it to bleed, the blue snake was in pain.

Sssszs

The snake hurled around and push him of, the snake use fang to attack jin woo.

Ssssss

Jinwoo also jumped on his side to cut his mouth through his skin.

Sssss..

Jin woo " Hahahhaaaa.."

The snake was bleeding.

"Sssss..."

DING!

[ You kill the ruler of the swap blue snake rasaka]

Jin woo "Finally. I did it, this snake was insane. I almost got kill, this way to much than I thought. "

Jin woo was very weak, he try stand up and head toward the stairs

Suddenly, his sights blurred for a bit, and then, they were restored back to normal, along with a slight bit of dizziness assaulting his senses. When he took a look around, he found himself inside a normal subway station.

The lights overhead shone brightly, and the black liquid filling up the tunnel was all gone, too.

Jin woo "….But, where is everyone?"

Not just people, but even trains were strangely absent not a single person.

He even checked the time while thinking that the trains had stopped running for the day because it was so late already, but the clock was indicating 10 PM.

He entered the Hapjeong station around the lunch hour, so he had spent over 9 hours inside that dungeon.

'I was in there for a long time, wasn't I?'

If it weren't for his Tiredness Stat being refreshed every time he levelled up, he'd have keeled over from the accumulated fatigue several times by now.

'Anyway. Isn't it still too early for the trains to stop running?'

Jin-Woo tilted his head as not one train showed up, no matter how long he stood there waiting. He decided to leave the station for the time being.

While he was trudging towards the exit, he couldn't spot a single person. But, as he climbed up the steps to get to the surface, someone shouted at Jin-Woo from above.

Soldier "Who goes there?"

Who knew that the voice of another person would sound this welcoming?

Jin-Woo quickly raised his head. He saw a soldier wielding a rifle.

Soldier "Who are you? Why are you coming out from there? Haven't you heard the broadcasts?"

The expression of the soldier was so serious that even Jin-Woo's own expression hardened in an instant.

"Did something happen?"

Soldier " Well. We got a call to evacuate everyone in thid area, and including you."

The soldier approached closer, but then, he spotted the broken sword in Jin-Woo's hand.

After it broke, it could no longer be stored in the Inventory, and Jin-Woo didn't feel like leaving it behind, so he just carried it outside like this. It was his only sword since, he lost his kitchen knife.

Seeing that, the light within the soldier's eyes changed rapidly. He then carefully studied Jin-Woo's current appearance.

Now that this soldier had taken a closer look, Jin-Woo's clothes displayed various hints of the youth participating in many fierce battles recently.

The crumpled expression of the soldier lightened up in an instant.

Soldier "Are you perhaps a Hunter by any chance?"

Jinwoo didn't say anything but he nodded.

"Ahh, please forgive me. This way, please. Let me guide you there."

"Ah…. Sure."

Sensing that his troubles might get more complicated if he said "There's been a misunderstanding here", Seong Jin-Woo decided to quietly follow the soldier's guidance for now.

Jin-Woo then swept his gaze around his vicinity.

Jin woo 'Now that I see, it's….'

The surrounding atmosphere felt rather suspicious.

The streets were totally deserted. The only people he could see were the soldiers and the members of the police.

Also, corpses belonging to monsters, destroyed cars, and buildings with cracks running up their walls….

Jin-Woo realised what had happened here.

Jin woo 'A Gate must've opened up nearby.'

Something like that almost never happened nowadays with the well-established Hunter system in place, but sometimes, a Gate would appear in a remote area, and it'd go unnoticed for a while. As a result, no one would come around to close it in time.

When such an event unfolded, soldiers from the nearby bases were dispatched in order to buy some time until Hunters could arrive on the scene.

Of course, the weapons of soldiers didn't work against the monsters. However, in order to facilitate the evacuation of civilians, someone had to be offered up as sacrifices. In other words, they were to become cannon fodder.

A role someone had no choice but to perform had been saddled on the shoulders of this nation's youths.

"Thank you."

The soldier walking up ahead thanked Jin-Woo out of the blue.

Jin woo "Pardon me?"

Soldier "Well, because Hunters such as yourself fight hard, we are able to go home at the end of the day, you see."

Jin woo "Oh, uh…. Thanks"

That was something Jin-Woo wanted to say to the soldier, instead. Soldiers to the Hunters, and Hunters to soldiers.

As those fighting to protect someone, or even something, they were expressing their gratitude against each other. The soldier was happy to hear that, he was kinda awkward for a moment but, it sounds good coming from him for some reason.

Beep.

The soldier's expression brightened after he received the radio transmission.

Soldier "I've received a word that the monsters in the vicinity have been dealt with, and only the biggest one remains."

Jin-Woo nodded his head.

He didn't need to hear the soldier's explanation to know.

He could actually sense the presence of a powerful 'lifeform' nearby. And he could even sense several auras of Hunters surrounding it, too. The enhanced Perception Stat was transmitting crucial information in the form of sensations and feelings.

And that's how Jin-Woo got to figure it out almost immediately.
