Chapter 3

A Large Dimensional Gate enough to fit the Phoenix was materialized in the luxurious palace. Chron then felt the Soul Tugging again, but this time he was already resigned and did not fight it anymore. What would be the use of fighting a being infinitely more powerful than the current him?

The Phoenix went into the Gate first, and he was so fast that Chron couldn't even scream before he was also dragged into the Gate. The moment he was through the Gate, the scream that was stuck in his throat all came out at once. He, however was a man of thrills so the moment the panic was over he quite liked how fast he was travelling at the moment, in fact it was very exhilarating.

The Phoenix on the other hand was not happy that his expectations were not met, he expected the mortal to make a fool of himself. He was even a bit tempted to slow down a bit to see the disappointment on his face, however he knew the dangers of slowing down in a dimensional passageway would bring him. Dimensional Passageways are very fragile and would literally collapse within a second, so he was literally racing against time to not be trapped in the middle of a Dimensional Collapse.

After a minute of high speed travelling, yes a minute, because Dimensional Passageways are not all created at the same time and would only form after a Dimensional Passageway collapsed, the two finally arrived on Erithia.

Chron expected something extravagant to appear the moment he was out of the gate, so he was disappointed to see a large cave space with a small glistening pond in the middle. He knew he shouldn't have expected anything the Phoenix rewarded would be good, but he was still hopeful seeing that the Phoenix would also be living in this Dimensional Space with him for a thousand years. Whatever he had worked as an architect, designer, and many more before, so he was quite a bit confident that he could shape this place into something he would be satisfied with.

After inspecting the cave, Chron realized that he forgot something, the Phoenix, it was gone. He didn't know what emotion to feel about that news at the moment, he however is a man who piously follows his intrusive thoughts, so he victory danced and celebrated that the Phoenix was gone...

"Mortal what are you doing?" - ???

The moment Chron heard that grating voice, his body automatically stood straight, and his eyes wandered everywhere again to look for where the voice came from.

"The Great Me is down here! Useless puny mortal, can't even find the majestic Great Me!" - ???

Chron was confused at first, but when he looked down at his feet, he couldn't help himself but laugh so loud that the cave was even echoing the laughter coming out of him.

"*gasp* Mortal how dare you laugh at the Great One?!!" - Phoenix?

Chron's laughter was cut short when he felt a murderous aura lock onto him. Though it was unbelievable that the oppresive murderous aura came from a very little red chick. Yeah, the majestic Giant Great Phoenix just a moment ago, was now a red baby chick that couldn't even fly.

The situation may have been funny, what was not funny was the murderous aura emitting from the red chick. It was so oppresive that Chron's sweat was now continuously flowing out of his body, making him look like a wet chick drenched in the rain.

"Hmph, you should be happy that this Great Being still has conscience, because if this Great One wanted to, the Great Me could have killed a puny mortal like you just with my Great Presence alone." - Phoenix

Without the oppresive aura, the Phoenix would have already received a snarky comment from Chron. However, no matter how much he tried, his body couldn't move an inch, even breathing was hard. He just now realized how strong the 'Great' Phoenix was when compared to him, it was disheartening.

"Hmph, now you acknowledge how great of a being I am, you should be ecstatic that this Great Being even lets you breath in my presence." Luckily for Chron, before more disgusting liquid leaked out of his body, the oppresive pressure dissipated, and he could finally normally control his bodily functions.

"Now stop staring at me, I know I'm Great but I don't tolerate weird stares. Say Status, the Great Me has already given you the ability to see your own progress, oh and btw just like me you have also reverted to your initial self, so you would have to relearn all of the skills you have." - Phoenix

Chron finally snapped out of his reverie - he just can't get over the most terrifying feeling he felt in his life. When he heard the word Status, he was very ecstatic, he is a very whimsical person and even tried all kinds of things to 'awaken' his magic or even manifest his Status, nothing ever worked though. So knowing that he not only get to use magic but can also track his progress through Status, made him so excited that he forgot all the things he just experienced. Without further ado, Chron shouted Status at the top of his lungs. Which earned him weird stares from the Red Chick in front of him, he doesn't care though because it worked and a transparent screen appered in front of him.

Chron was quite satisfied of his Status, though he doesn't know whether it was average in this world or not. Well, he doesn't care if it was average, because his Job, Talent, and Skills sound so cool and he would rather worry about what they can do, than gloat about his average life, so that's what he did.

- You can learn any skill you desire, as long as the skill is physically possible for you.

- Your Status will not go up, unless all of your values are equal - Health, Mana, and Luck is an exception. 10 Vitality = 100 Health/Mana = 1 Luck.

- The user would have to connect his skills to level up this Job. When skills are connected, their levels will be tied and the level of all the skills will be based on the level of the lowest skill. 1 Skill should be connected for every Level. The Level of all the Connected Skills will also be your Job Level.

- 1 Job Level = +1 to All Stats

"Have you finished realizing how puny and weak you are? If you have then I'm gonna pass you all the knowledge I have of Time Magic a puny mortal like you can take at the moment."

Chron couldn't even react before pain assaulted his mind, and a whole lot of information about Time Magic was forced onto him. The pain lasted for a whole minute, and by the time it was gone the Red Chick was also gone, without even saying goodbye to him. All that was left was a Golden Note - literally, that says 'Summon the Great Me if my Greatness don't come back after a week'.

Chron side eyed the Golden Note, 'he's gone but he still finds a way to flaunt his 'Greatness''. Well, he would have liked to look at his Status, but he can do that a week later, what he really wanted to do was look at qhat he gained from the information passed on to him by the 'Great' Fire Chick.

Chron first of all did his victory dance, which was not interrupted by anyone this time. He then analyzed the three Spells in his repertoire and based on his information; With Time Acceleration, he can accelerate time in an area, or use it on himself in the ratio of 1:2, though with his strength that area is currently too small. Visions of the Past is self explanatory, he can look at the Past but with how weak he was, he can only look about a day in the Past. What he was most excited about was Time Rewind, because it gives him a chance to redo his mistake, though at the moment he can only use it about once a month and he can only go back about a second in the Past.

And with that, Chron's life in the world of Erithia has now started.
