A New Form I Gained Allows Me to Attack On Instinct

No Limits.

This chapter might not be up to snuff since I'm writing this in school (Webtoon wouldn't load)

What is your favorite manwha in the PTJ universe? (I've only read three)

Chapter 4:

It was all over in an instant, I can remember it well.

The whirring in my head got so loud- and I remember his hand over my face.

 I couldn't see.

In an instant I tried to predict where he would attack,

blocking my face, only for him to hit me with barrage of attacks.

Me, with my dozens of battles, and even more fights where I was outnumbered, didn't even think of this. I

was excited to use this in my next fight.

I woke up on the same floor I passed out in, my sides hurting like hell.

"I'll kill him next time." I swore, groaning as I stood. I quickly pulled out my phone from its pocket. I swiped up, unlocking it, and ignoring the five missed messages on my phone.

They were most likely spam emails, since I didn't have any friends (if you didn't count Kouji) or family with my contact.

With passion brighter than the sun, I swore I would get stronger from this moment on. I could already feel more skilled in my fighting.

Even without the loud whirring noise in my head, I feel like I could replicate the fight from before, maybe I could even take less hits.

I opened up my notes app:

Weird state, name - The Zone

-Loud noise

-Makes me fight better

This new form I gained on the verge of a loss... it allows my technique to prosper on instinct.

Fighting was much easier when in that state

I closed the app and closed my eyes. One of the many talents I had was my impeccable memory, I could replay any moment in my life whenever I wanted to.

"You're no Eli..." I ended the replay there.

Every mistake I made during that fight was under heavy criticism for the past 30 minutes, while I meditated on the hard floor.

When I had finally gotten up, I decided.. "I'm hungry."

"Fatass, of course you are..."

To my surprise, the two executive uncles stirred awake.

"You're being very hostile to your superior."

"Yeah right, we just lost because we underestimated you."

Unexpectedly, my head was quiet.

For some reason, I wouldn't enter into 'The Zone'

"..." I stared at them, waiting for a response.

"Haha, this bastard doesn't realize his superiors are going to beat him to a pulp."

And with that they rushed at me.

...

Wiping the blood off my knuckles, I let loose a crazy smile.

Despite not entering the flow state, I had been able to fight just as well as before.

"I guess when I enter that state the experience I gain from it always applies to me."

In simpler terms, it was like super saiyan. It gave Goku a 50x strength increase. But in my case, every time I entered that state I keep the strength increase, but instead that applied to my technique.

So every time I went into 'The Zone' my technique would increase without even practicing.

"Hahahaha!" I laughed maniacally, realizing had basically found a cheat system to get stronger.

Although, I would have to resume my training if I wanted to reach the level of Olly Wang.

My gaze darkened as I thought of him, I can't believe he's so strong.

I walked home gleefully, after robbing those rich "uncles" of mine, I spent lavishly. Wasting no time, I hopped on my computer and checked gregslist. Surprisingly, still no offers.

Since there were no offers, I didn't mind testing out the merchandise.

And for the past month that's what I did-- train like my life depended on it.

Newtube was a great source of information on techniques, and although I only had time to learn one move, I decided to revisit this youtuber.

My punches felt like they had the impact of stones, and my technique had never been better. Although disappointingly I hadn't been able to enter 'The Zone' even when fighting against multiple opponents.

At school, the green haired kid kept challenging me - once a week to be exact. After every fight, the distance between us became more apparent. I guess he thought that if he fought me outside, than there'd be more opportunities for him to win, but by the end of the month, even his sneak attacks couldn't graze me.

Slamming my foot into his chin, I knocked him out once more. He fell to the ground harder than he usually did, and I took the chance to search him.

After pulling his phone out I decided to put my contact information into his phone. I would text him later, when I needed him.

For now though, he wasn't needed.

My phone rang-- for the first time in ages.

The contact name read "Big Daddy". A strange name considering I had never added anyone with that name to my contact list.

"You've gotten very cocky," Olly Wang's voice replied to my silence, "Applying for this position and ignoring me for a month?"

Shocked, I didn't answer.

"Huh..." Olly Wang methodically spoke through the screen. "Hey, are you even listening? Who am I kidding... you're not."

I was.

"Check your messages!" He screamed before hanging up the call.

30+ texts all from him.

"Why are you ignoring me?"

I scrolled to a more recent message.

"You have 2 hours to get here, I'm sick of having the duo fill in for you, come and do your job."

Ah.. my job?

I guess I was supposed to test new uncle recruits? I was still confused on how the whole system worked, but I would understand it eventually (I hope).

I ubered there, finally having money to spare, and made it on time.

I hadn't read the text at the exact same time he sent it, so I rushed to the location.

"He's here-" Olly spoke, but the man wasted no time getting close enough to fight me.

"This is the guy who's supposed to test me?" He was in front of me in an instant.

Quickly, I aimed a devastatingly strong calf kick at him, and to my surprise he blocked it with his leg.

This time, I tried for a faster attack, his head rocking back as my fist connected, sending him tumbling.

"What's your fighting style?" I slammed my fist into his gut and I watched in disgust as spit trailed out of his mouth onto my face. "You seem trained."

I wipe the spit off, and he takes this opportunity to kick my head, which I swiftly dodge.

"I'm self trained, the streets are the only thing I need." He throws various kicks and punches my way, and I'm forced to dance like an acrobat around them while Olly claps.

Why was he still watching-

I narrowly avoid his burly hand clawing at me.

"Martial arts aren't for me, I'm a real man." He leaps into the air, and I'm convinced that he's going to hit me with his strongest attack yet, but he falls towards me with a knife in hand.

I aptly dodge it, but a long cut stains my cheek as hot pain strikes me. "You little-"

"You little what?" He twirls the knife cockily, "Remember, I lived life in a war. A little knife is nothing-"

I cut him off, hitting him with the intent to kill. BAM!

Our fists connect, but just before it connects I am my hand to the side, jamming it into his pinky.

He yelps in pain as I barrage him with my mightiest punches.

I then twirl in the air while he's disabled and kick him square in the jaw, landing, and watching him go stiff before falling to the floor.

"Did he pass?" "What do you think?" "No."

And then his face goes grim.

Badump, click clack.

The loud whirring in my head started up again as his eyes took a dark color.

He claps his hands and - "Well, I guess that's that then." I sigh in relief.

"Want to have another go?" "No." I promptly answered.

Little did I know that not fighting him was only hindering my progress.
