Chapter 14 - Black core?

She calmed her mind and started to complete her core not focusing on the dark core for now.

As she was almost done creating her core Scarlett didn't notice that along with the dark core getting bigger and bigger, her aura started to change too. Just siting down the little silver haired girl gave one the impression of looking at death itself.

Her skin started to gradually turn paler to the point she would look sick. Her lips were still rosy pink and her hair which was silver with purple under tones became silver with black under tones for a short moment before reverting back to the purple undertones.

Of course Scarlet didn't know of this. She was immersed in finishing her core.

An hour later

Scarlett opened her eyes that became pitch black for a second before reverting back to violet.

She heaved a sigh of relief and a smile gradually rose on her face.

"Time to go back home", she muttered to her self. She had completed her core and entered level 1 of the core condensing stage.

She could find out what elemental affinity she has!!!

'I'll go home after figuring my affinity out', nodding to herself she closed her eyes again and this time instead of sensing the spirit energy she had to go beyond that and sense the elements this time.

Elemental affinities were categorized in three categories. Common, Uncommon and rare. All elements are powerful in there own right but the categories were meant to decide of often people had those affinities.

Common - water, fire, wind, and earth.

Uncommon- lightning, ice, shadow, and poison

Rare - light, darkness, and space.

Most affinities depend on bloodline but there are some cases where no one in the bloodline has an element an offspring attains.

At this point Scarlett had completely forgot about the dark core inside her body.

She started to sense the elements around her. Lights of colors appeared on after the other around her. The color lights that attack to her body would represent her affinity.

After waiting a couple minutes, dark blue colored light floated onto her body. Thinking that she had the water element she was going to open her eye, when a swarm of black colored lights floated into her body.

Yes! INTO!!!

While she was in a state of shock, she watched with her spirit conscious how that dark light floated into her body along her meridian paths and into her dantian.

'Waittt!!! I shouldn't be absorbing the elements, right!!!!'

Typically people manipulate the elements with spiritual energy. The more spirit energy you had the more of the element you could control.

So could someone please explain why the dark colored lights were being absorbed into her body.

Freaked out, she still couldn't tear her eyes away from the inside of her dantian. Only then did she remember the little dark core beside her energy core. Her energy core was 3 times the size of the dark core but it was still a strange existence.

She watched on as the dark lights were absorbed by the dark core, filling it up by 10%.

As a pretty smart girl she realized what was happening. Elle had taught her that people who obtain rare elements could sometimes create another core. Nobody really new why that would happen as people with rare elements were rare themselves.

'Did Elle also have another core? She did have the space elements.'

Opening her eyes, she touched her chin with her hand.

"So it seams like I have the darkness affinity along with the water affinity. I guess I got both my parents elements."

It wasn't common for people to obtain more than one element so this was pretty much out of her expectations.

'Elle had stated not to use the darkness affinity if I had obtained it until I had a hold over it'

"Maybe I should practice?"
