'Do you know what happens to bad children when they do not behave?' A voice suddenly said in the back of Osbert's head as he remembered that woman from the night he woke up.
'Do you know why your parents abandoned you? Because they could not bear to have you as their child.'
'That's not true!' Osbert shouted at the woman but he did not believe himself. He could not believe himself.
'But it is and you know it.' The woman said, her voice replaying in his mind over and over again, like a broken record played on loop.
'If you do not want people to abandon you, my dear Alby. You must not ask the wrong questions or get on their bad side. Otherwise, it is that easy to leave you.'
She disappeared and Osbert could only see Jel's expression, looking a little bit uncomfortable as he moved away from the man ever so slightly.
