6. Lizardman Village

Siji arrive in his camp after he kill the boar like monster and got some potatoes. He set up the traps again, before he wash himself with some water that he brought in some bucket.

"I need to find a river or water source soon. I haven't found it so i don't have choice but to make a camp here. Let's leave this place tomorrow, Hades."-Siji

Hades meowed while also washing (licking) himself. Siji finish his shower and change his clothes. Then he prepare dinner with the boar like monster, Celeng's meat and potatoes. He make a soup and make it a lot so it can be used for breakfast too. He just need to warm it next morning.

It's getting dark, and the soup finally ready. Siji taste test it first, and it's good, better than wolf's meat taste. He pour some soup in his bowl and eat it. He give Hades a roasted meat that have been cooled off.

He sleep after dinner and there's no monster that attack at night like yesterday. The next morning, Siji wake up and see Hades is still sleeping. He wash his face before he do the daily training that he got yesterday.

"Hmm, so it's normal training menu, and the number if repetition is less than yesterday. The important factor is the training weights. If there's no added weight, i will need to do the training longer and it will get less effective as i grow stronger. That's also why the weights can get heavier."-Siji

Siji then do the daily training and it only take an hour. Some hour less than yesterday, so now he can hunt more monsters. But his agenda today is not hunting. He need to find a good camping ground near a river or water source. Still, he will kill some monsters that he meet on the way.

Siji & Hades walk toward the mountain again and look around for any river. They meet some monsters on the way and kill the ones that didn't come in group. They meet a pack of wolves and decide to avoid them.

At afternoon, they hear something like a water flow on river. They approach the sound and really find a river. Siji is happy, but then he see 3 big humanoid lizzards are in the riverbank and catching some fishes.

[Lizardman lv 13, 11, & 11]

'Two lv.11, and a lv.13 lizardmans. It will be hard to even kill a lv.11 monster, and it's lizardmans now. They use wooden spear to catch fishes, so they're intelligent. I can't risk to fight them at once. What should i do?'-Siji

Siji look around the river and decide to leave the lizardmans for now. He will find an empty place to settle, and will not risk anything for now. He go up the river to find any good place, but then he find a village of lizardmans. Furthermore, the ones here are higher level than the ones below. Siji can only find lv.16 as the lowest level here.

'Shit, it seem i need to make a camp down there. But wait, if there's this village, then are those lizards come from this place? Or is there another village?'-Siji

Siji get a headache thinking of another village that may exist. He need to check it, so he go down and want to scout the situation. He find the lizardmans again and hide from them. Siji keep looking at them and after they got many fishes, they go down the river.

It seem his suspicion is on the spot, because if there's only one village, these guys will go up the river. Siji follow them stealthily and keep looking around. Sometime later, he really find a village, but he's also relief. This village have lower level lizardmans, the highest here is lv.15, and the lowest is 11.

Then Siji see 2 lv.16 lizardmans do some kind of ritual at the village gate. Then they leave the village and follow the river up. It seem they move to the other village with higher level residents. These villages must be separated by level of these lizardmans.

'If there's a village with minimum of lv.11, then down there must be of lower levels. It seem i find a huntiing ground when i just search for a river.'-Siji grin

Finding so many monsters at lower level than him is not easy. He always found a group of higher level monsters, so he can't train fighting a group. Now he find a group with low level monsters that he can fight. He must find the lowest level village and destroy it.

'A village must have a lot of food supplies too, so i can get some good food and maybe preserved foods.'-Siji

Siji decide to hurry and find the other village before dawn. So he go down the river and look around the place. Sometime later, he find a village filled with lv.6 to lv.10 lizardmans. He grin and go down again, then he find another village filled with lv.1 to lv.5 lizardmans. The monsters here looks like younger ones, and there's a lv.11 guard.

'Great, i can destroy this village to get some XP and food supplies. Wolf meats aren't tasty so i hope they have good food here. I will do it tomorrow, it's almost night, so i need to make a camp.'-Siji

Siji go to find a place to make a camp for tonight, but then he stop in his track.

"No, wait, those lizards will also sleep at night and only some will wake up. Isn't it the best time to strike?"-Siji

Siji think about it and it seem possible and have higher success rate. They might be lower rank, but a village full of monsters still pose a threat. They can also call for help from upper village at day. If he kill them at night, then the chance of them run away is low. They are sleeping afterall, and he can use sneak attacks.

"Alright, let's do this plan. I will sleep on tree until night come, then i will strike when they sleep. Prepare yourself Hades! Tonight will be a bloodbath."-Siji

"Meow"-Hades nod.

Siji climb a big tree and find a good spot to sleep. He tied a hammock between 2 big branches and sleep there. It's still about 5 pm but he sleep so he can wake up at night to do his plan.

Siji wake up at night and he prepare his gear for his hunt. He even applied charcoal powder all over his body to make him more hidden at night. He need the black color from charcoal, especially to hide his hairs that look very bright with silver colour. It will reflect the moonlight very well and reveal his position. He even apply the charcoal powder to his swords.

Hades is already black, so he didn't need anything to hide his body, except the glowing cat eyes. But Siji didn't have any solution for that, so he let it be. A pair of small eyes aren't that easy to spot.

"Let's go buddy, time to hunt some lizards."-Siji have serious look

"Meow."-Hades have serious look too.

Siji & Hades then go to the village and hide behind the bush. Siji look around and see that there's a guard. This lizard guard is different from the one before. This one is level 12, and have brown scales, while the one before has green scales.

'It seem they have some guards, i don't know if there's still another higher level ones that hide in the village. We need to get rid of that guard first if we want to get easier time.'-Siji

Siji then take a pebble and throw it to the dark riverbed and hit a stone. It make a noise and the lizard guard got alerted. The lizard then decide to check the sound and leave it's post. Siji wait patiently for the lizard to arrive near him, while he prepare his sword.

The lizard pass his hiding bush and get into his strike zone. Siji immediately go for the lizard's neck to avoid the monster make any voice. The lizard is caught of guard, but Siji also miscalculated the lizard's tough scales. His sword can't cut the neck easily, and the lizard still can make sound.

Siji's unique skill kick in and he know what to do. Siji release his right hand from the sword, leaving his left hand there. Then he insert his right hand to the lizard's mouth. He grab the lizard's tongue and shove it down it's throat.

The lizard want to close it's mouth, but Siji has put his cutlass handle between the mouth. The guard stop the mouth from closing and the lizard can't make a sound, it can't even breath. It's flailing around and try to get rid of Siji, but Hades appear and scratch the lizard's eyes with his claws, popping them easily.

It didn't take long for the lizardman to get weakened because lack of oxygen. Siji take out a knife from his inventory using his left hand, while the cutlass being left in the mouth. Then he stab the lizard's left chest, where normally the heart should be in, like a human. He take out the knife, but the blood didn't pour out like it should be.

"Don't tell me..."-Siji

Siji try to feel the heart beat, and it seem he just missed the heart. He thought that the heart is in right chest, but it's in the left. He stab again and now the blood pour out like a river. Siji wait for sometime to make sure the lizard is dead.

Siji sigh in relief, the lizard finally die and he level up. He distribute the point and put the carcass in his inventory. Maybe there will be some use from it, especially those tough scales.

Siji apply the charcoal powder again on the area that got blood and salive from lizard's mouth. Then he go sneakily into the unguarded village. This place is in low level monsters area, so the lizards must thought that a lv.11 guard is enough.

'Wait, there's another one, that guy must've sleep somewhere. I need to find him first before destroying this place.'-Siji

Siji check the buildings that he pass stealthily. He finally find the other guard that sleeping with another lizard. This one is smaller and it's lv.9, maybe a helper. Siji go for the lv.11 first, he strike the neck again, and now he can cut it cleanly and fast.

Putting more stats in strength really help make it easier. He's really gratefull for that level up and gained stats. Then Siji also kill the lv.9 guy, but he didn't store their carcass. He have no need for it, they're weaker than the previous guy, so their scale must be weaker too.

"Alright mate, let's rob this place first."-Siji whisper to Hades

Hades just nod and they go to find the store room. They find it after sometime, and see the massive amount of food. The foods here are mainly fishes, but he have no complain. Siji take them all, and there are many dried fishes too.

'These Lizardmans are intelligent enough to make preserved food. But they're not wise enough to gather their kind in one big village. Instead, they split it by levels, maybe they want their people to grow by themselves. Meh, not my business.'-Siji

Siji take all of the food supplies, and he even find some metals and weapons. He take them all, and even throw many unedible monster carcasses to give space in his inventory. It will also looks like the one attacking this village is these dead monsters.

After finishing his robbing and didn't find any valuables left, Siji went om his killing spree. He go to every building and kill the residents one by one, stealthily. All the monsters here are very low levels and he can easily kill them in their sleep.

Siji even find many eggs too, and destroy them. The eggs actually give him XP too, altough not much. After finishing everything, he burn the village and throw goblin dead bodies accross the village. Then Siji & Hades run away from there fast before the fire attract anything.
