Ophelia

Katania watched in amazement as the sword in Erik's hand began to emit a low hum, this was accompanied by a brilliant flash of white light. To Katania this wasn't enough to blind her, but the power coming from the sword seemed to be pouring off in waves, it flowed outwards like a great waterfall. A dense energy began to accumulate in the area, the pressure magnifying by several times.

"What a terrifying presence!" Katania was at a loss for what to do but as if drawn to the energy she was powerless to stop inching closer to her brother, who stood but 3 feet away from her, he had a look of ecstatic contentment on his face, and nodding repeatedly as if the sword were imparting something to him. After a wide smile spread across his handsome face; the energy dispersed, and his fluttering black hair came to rest once more on his shoulders.

Katania was staring open-jawed at a changed Erik before she managed to compose herself. Taking quick steps to approach him she carefully examined him. "Grade 4 Earthly realm...and I sense-" Katania's eyelids flew wide, she threw a look at Empress who had appeared at her side, seeing Empress give her a simple nod; she sighed. "Kid, aren't you a little too amazing?" Erik was confused at this, however at the moment he could not be bothered to care. The sword had also experienced an impressive transformation, the rusty chipped blade now gleaming and whole. It radiated a powerful aura of might. Erik pulled his sword off his back and held it out to the old man who reached out his hands to take it. Seeing this Katania panicked and quickly tried to assist the old man with the weight. And indeed the old man visibly sagged with the strain even as Katania supported the weapon with her own strength as he set it down. "Erik," she called out to him, his eyes snapped to her face and he smiled. "time to go," she said, before turning amd abruptly retreating in the direction they'd come from. Erik snatched a scabbard from behind the stall and followed after her. They hadn't made it far before their path was walled off by several experts radiating a deadly aura. They were completely clothed in white and they all had weapons drawn. Katania eyed them warily but was unconcerned, if anything she was interested to learn who would dare to block her. The men made a hole in their encirclement and a young man with a pleasant face appeared in the gap. His eyes were closed and a brillaint smile revealing gleaming white teeth was pasted to his face. He cocked his head, "May I ask the young master's distinguished name?" his voice was surprisingly pleasant as he directed this question toward Erik. Erik mumbled something. "Sorry?" the young man revealed an expression of confusion. "I said it's none of your business!" Erik spoke louder which caused Empress to laugh and the young mans eyes to glower. He revealed a frightening aspect and a menacing pressure filled their surroundings. It was only for an instant but Katania could feel the threat of death and even Empress revealed an expression of surprise, prompting her to question, "You have an aspect?"

"Oh? you know about it?"

Empress gave a slight nod.

"Good, that makes things easier then, I won't ask for much. Turn over that sword and all of the gold and treasure you have on you and we won't pursue this matter."

Katania's eyes narrowed at this "And if we don't?"

The young man looked at her with surprise as if he hadn't expected anyone to refuse his goodwill, One of the man's lackeys spoke up at this, "My master actually gave you face and you dare-" "Quiet!" The young man thrust up a hand to silence him, returning to his previously amiable expression he said, "Then, naturally, I will have you die here," he shrugged. Katania felt her lip curl at his arrogance, disgust filled her, she truly hated despicable bullies like this, just as she was about to teach him a lesson a voice cut through the hanging silence. "I actually want to see who wants to touch them," A tall, slender woman descended from the air having materialized from nothing and landed in front of Katania's group. The young mans face twisted into a snarl. "This does not concern you, Ophelia." The woman shook her head slowly, revealing a soft smile. The mans face blanched, "Try again, Picelle." There was a pause as the man began considering his options, fear was evident on his face as he glanced wildly at each of his lackeys, however, they were of no help to him. He promptly fell to his knees. "Ophelia, awna! I didn't know these were your people!" he begged for forgiveness.

The woman named Ophelia sighed, "Whether or not you know is no excuse, you will still die today." Picelle was panicking, "No!" he screamed, he was extremely unwilling. He began to throw his men in her path as he backpedaled trying to get away. Ophelia paid little attention to this, directly killing each one with a wave of her hand. They died instantly exploding in a blood mist. Picelle had a look of madness twisting his pleasant features, "Fine then! Come! I will take you all with me!" saying so he pulled a small vial full of a black liquid from inside his cloak, he ripped out the stopper and downed its contents. Immediately his aura underwent a change, his veins were bulging from his skin, his blood purple. A dark miasmic energy spilled forth, permeating the space he occupied. Ophelia tsked at him, "Exceed? What is this, alchemy for beginners?" she sneered, after saying so she pulled out a bottle from her cloak, the liquid was also black but strangely even darker than the one Picelle had drank. "Tier 1, Overload." she said, and tossed him the bottle. Picelle's eyes shined as if he'd just received a miraculous treasure. "Drink it," she ordered. Picelle stared longingly at the bottle, he was extremely unwilling to waste such a precious elixir. However, since it meant his life if he could not escape he did not hesitate for long, he pulled the stopper and downed the contents, his aura greatly increased, magnifying another 5 times. The energy flowing out from him was extremely berserk, a grin spread on his face, feeling confident he said, "Very well, since you want to die so badly this young master will accompany you!" with a snarl his energy increased again as it gathered like sharpened spikes and flew towards Ophelia, but not just her, also at Katania and Erik who stood there with interested expressions at the display, the pitch black thorns sped towards their vitals. However, Ophelia only looked bored as she waved her hand, and they immediately vanished. "Is that all?" she asked him in a dull tone, completely disinterested.

Picelle's face was a pale white, the color of sun-bleached sand. No longer holding anything back he gathered all the power he could muster, it gathered in a thick cloud before him. A sound like a howling storm was whipped up in the surrounding area, and a devastating crack shook the sky. Ophelia waved her hand again and it disappeared. When the fog lifted, he was gone. She gave a small self depreciating smile, "I was careless," she muttered, before rounding on Katania - Empress and a clapping Erik with a beaming smile.
