CH53:Transfiguration Hard AF

"Here, here!" Lee Jordan waved to the twins who had just entered the hall. "You are finally willing to show up."

"Why are you all here?" George sat next to Lee Jordan and greeted the others.

"Aren't you being ridiculous?" Lee Jordan couldn't help but roll his eyes at the two of them. "It's dinner time. If we're not eating here, where else would we go?"

"That's right. Please pass the jam, thank you." Fred spread a lot of jam on a slice of bread, took a big bite, and asked, "What did the Defense Against the Dark Arts class teach in the morning?"

"The dark creatures were taught for half the class, and the rest of the time we practiced how to emit red and green sparks." It was not Lee Jordan who answered but Angelina, sitting across from them. The future Quidditch captain was looking at the twin brothers with a scrutinizing gaze.

"I heard you lost Gryffindor 30 points this morning and deducted all the points Albert earned recently."

Fred poked a potato with its skin still while murmuring, "We only lost twenty points."

"The History of Magic class deducted ten points." Albert raised his head to look at the twins and asked, "Where did you go this afternoon?"

"Secret!" Fred and George looked at each other, smiling mysteriously.

"Oh, by the way, there's something else," Lee Jordan seemed to recall and said to the Weasley brothers, "Filch asked me to tell you that your detention is tomorrow night in the trophy room."

"It seems you won't need to clean chamber pots anymore. This time, you'll be wiping trophies," Albert said suddenly, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe his mouth after the meal. "By the way, I ran into that William not long ago. He seems to have just finished cleaning the chamber pots in the hospital wing."

"Please don't talk about these things during mealtime." Shanna gave Albert an annoyed look and complained, "That ruins everyone's appetite."

"I think there's an Astronomy class tonight," Alia said, trying to change the subject. "Has anyone been to the Astronomy Tower?"

"Don't look at me. I haven't," Lee Jordan shook his head quickly. "By the way, when does the Astronomy class start?"

"9:30," Albert said, scanning the timetable.

"So late?" Angelina pulled her schedule from her backpack and checked. It really was that time.

You know, Hogwarts has a curfew at 11 o'clock.

"Don't worry, we've been to the top of the Astronomy Tower at noon."

"That's great!" Albert nodded at the twins. "You can show everyone the way later. Don't forget your binoculars. Oh, and make a note of Defense Against the Dark Arts and the History of Magic."

Albert took two books from his schoolbag and placed them on the table.

"I'll do it first!" Lee Jordan reached for a book.

"We'll copy one subject each and take turns," the twins said, moving faster than Lee.

Compared to borrowing notes from others, Albert's notes on the History of Magic were obviously more reliable.

"You guys..."

"Ahem, have you learned the lighting charm? Tomorrow there seems to be a Transfiguration class and a Charms class," Alia said, pushing the unscrupulous twins aside and continuing, "My match has not changed so far."

"Shanna, how are your two spells practice coming along? By the way, I almost forgot the two spells in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class," Angelina asked angrily. Her match had not made any progress in transforming into a needle, although during this period, she hadn't put much time and energy into practicing magic.

"I only mastered the Lighting charm," Shanna admitted. After hearing everyone's situation, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. She had been practicing the Lumos these days and barely mastered it.

"Don't worry," Albert comforted. "Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick will both leave us time in class. Of course, you can practice during the weekend."

"Albert doesn't need to worry about homework. It's enviable," Fred exaggerated.

Albert rolled his eyes at the comment, muttering inwardly, "Envy you? Just practice it yourself."

"What about you?" George asked the roommate next to him.

"Well, the Lumos has almost been mastered. However, Transfiguration is tough," Lee Jordan replied, thinking about the challenges of Transfiguration and sighing slightly.

"Lee, when did you master the Lumos Curse?" Fred and George looked at their roommate in surprise.

"Last night... I have been practicing the Lighting charm too, okay?" Lee Jordan replied defensively.

"Sure enough, is Transfiguration more difficult?" Alia asked, raising her head to look at Albert. The others also looked at him.

Albert was speechless for a while. "Why are you guys looking at me?"

"Teach everyone" Fred said, throwing an arm around Albert's neck. "Is there any trick?"

"There is no trick. It just needs to be practiced by everyone," Albert said with a helpless look. "Professor McGonagall also mentioned the key points."

It boiled down to concentrating during the transformation, making a sharp wand movement, and pronouncing spells correctly.

Learning Transfiguration, of course, required effort.

There were some things Albert didn't say: "Unless you have the same panel as me."

At seven o'clock in the evening, everyone gathered in the auditorium again to practice spells.

It turned out that no one had a match to practice transfiguration. In the end, George folded a twig from outside to serve as one.

"Ahem, you can turn branches into matches," Alia reminded.

"This is a good idea," others agreed.

"Vera Verto," Albert said, sighing lightly. He picked up his wand and tapped it on the twig, transforming it into a match[SI spell since there wasn't one].

"Geminio!"[OG]

Albert duplicated a few matches and distributed them for practice.

Professor McGonagall had said that Transfiguration was a difficult course to learn, and it proved true. None of them succeeded in making the match change before heading to Astronomy class.

"This is unscientific! Why is it so difficult?" Shanna complained.

'Of course, it's unscientific. After all, this is magic' Albert thought to himself but held back from saying it aloud.

When a girl walked by, she overheard the complaints, stopped near Albert, and remarked, "Transfiguration itself is very difficult. It doesn't take a few days to practice well. It's hard to succeed, especially for freshmen who are new to magic."

"Good evening, Katrina," Albert greeted her as she walked away.

"I hope our Astronomy class isn't with Ravenclaw," Angelina murmured. She didn't like Ravenclaw much.

"Some people in Ravenclaw have weird temperaments other than that they are good people, but don't worry anyway our Astronomy class is with Hufflepuff," Albert replied, checking his pocket watch. "Okay, we should go,being careful not to be late."

The End.
