"Are you serious?"
Arthur looked at Professor Snape in surprise, unable to believe what he had just said just now.
Just now, Professor Snape had asked him to accompany Harry and his friends to the Forbidden Forest this night.
"May I ask why?" Arthur asked.
Professor Snape replied with strong sarcasm, "Do you think the big guy can control Potter's mind? And with their relationship, I think Potter is just doing him a favor."
"I need you to help me keep an eye on them and make sure that Potter receives the punishment he deserves."
Arthur didn't Professor believe Snape for a second, but he was more concerned that Hagrid might not take good care of Harry.
However, Arthur does not have the habit of being a babysitter, even if it was the protagonist.
"Professor, you know that I..."
Before Arthur could finish his sentence, Professor Snape interrupted him.
"If you go tonight, not only will Ravenclaw receive twenty points, but I'll also give you an extra bottle of magical enhancement potion," Professor Snape said.
Arthur was left speechless this time. 'Was Professor Snape really willing to spend that much?'
The twenty points weren't the main issue, but it was the bottle of magical potion that caught Arthur's attention.
Enhancement potions could make a wizard's total magical power stronger, but the effects were different for each person. It might give a wizard half as much magic power as an adult wizard.
This potion was not only difficult to make, but several of the raw materials had already gone extinct. With Arthur's talent, this bottle of potion would absolutely increase his magical power and make him near to a gold card.
With this in mind, Arthur gave in.
"I agree, Professor. Can I ask a question? How did you get this potion?"
If he could obtain more of the potion, his growth would be even faster. Arthur's mastery of spells was no less than that of a professor like Snape, and some of his magic was even stronger than his.
As soon as the offer was made, Arthur looked at Snape in disbelief. He couldn't believe that Snape had just said what he said.
But magical power was the key limiting factor in his strength. If he couldn't increase his magical power, his work efficiency would decrease, and he would even run out of magic power after a few spells.
"Don't ask too much. I got this when I was young, exploring a pharaoh's pyramid. This is the last bottle I have."
Professor Snape's cold words crashed Arthur's dream. But Arthur wasn't too disappointed. Having one bottle was already good enough.
"No problem, I will go tonight. Don't worry, Professor."
Arthur didn't stay any longer after the deal was made. He went straight back to his room to sleep so he wouldn't be too tired to go to the Forbidden Forest at night.
...
At exactly eleven o'clock, Harry and Ron followed Filch to the door of Hagrid's cabin.
(in the original book, it was Hermione, but I changed it to Ron).
Malfoy from Slytherin also followed them.
After arriving, Hagrid did not take them directly into the Forbidden Forest, but stayed where they were.
"What's wrong, Hagrid? Are there other people coming?" Harry asked curiously.
"Yes, Professor Snape said there's another student coming," Hagrid replied.
Instantly, Harry felt pity for the little wizard who was targeted by Professor Snape.
At that moment, Arthur showed up and greeted Harry, and joined the group.
"Harry!"
"Arthur! Is that you? You're the wizard punished by Professor Snape?"
Arthur became stunned. 'If the old bat didn't know how to make excuses, would I be punished even though I'm a good wizard?'
"Yes, I'm going into the Forbidden Forest with you today," Arthur said.
Harry was overjoyed and quickly introduced him to Hagrid. The two of them got to know each other.
Hagrid's rough voice sounded.
"I know you, the most excellent student of Ravenclaw, Arthur, can I call you that? Harry often mentions you."
"No problem," Arthur replied with a smile. Hagrid was a hidden wealthy man, and he had been using a lot of magical materials recently that were difficult to buy on the market.
Maybe he could find some here at Hagrid's place. It would be a good thing to establish a good relationship with him.
After everyone was gathered, they entered the Forbidden Forest. Malfoy was scared, and his face turned pale, repeatedly muttering about how his dad was a board member or something.
The others didn't have time to pay attention to Malfoy. Harry and the others were also nervous, but they didn't want to show any fear in front of them, so they followed Hagrid with strong determination.
The group walked along a spiral path, deep into the Forbidden Forest. The further they go, the darker and more dangerous it becomes. Suddenly, they saw a faint glow not far away and approached it.
Hagrid shone his lantern on it.
"Can you see it? That silver thing over there, it's unicorn blood," Hagrid said with a serious expression because this wasn't the first time it had happened recently.
Just half a month ago, a unicorn had been seriously injured and died.
Arthur also stepped forward to investigate, and he quickly noticed some hoof prints ahead.
"I know where the unicorn went. Follow me," he said.
With that, Arthur took the lead and followed the clues, leading them to the riverbank where they found another full of silver blood.
Just as they were about to approach and investigate it, there was a rustling in the trees by the riverbank.
Harry and the others snuggled together in fear, while Hagrid nervously aimed his crossbow toward the sound.
