Looking at Tina Sebastian, who had regained her human form, Aurelius couldn't help but marvel. To this day, magic still surprises him from time to time.
The long skirt that the bone-spurred fish fin had torn apart just now was intact. He hadn't realized that Tina had used magic to restore it to its original state. The same was true for Nagini. After transforming, her clothes would disappear, but when she returned to her human form, she would still be wearing them.
It's not that Aurelius' soul only cared about other girls' clothes; he was studying magic rigorously. Clothes were considered foreign objects, and the blood curse did not affect them when they transformed.
It almost seemed like a game. Was the transformation process just a special effect?
"I want to take back what's mine," Tina proclaimed.
"Siren City?" Aurelius questioned.
"It's not just Siren City; it's about the Sebastian family's ownership and rule of Siren," Tina clarified.
"Goodbye," Aurelius said as he stood up. There was no need to discuss this matter any further; it was simply impossible.
As a sea wizard city, Siren City played a key role in connecting American and European wizards. It was also a commercial center for product exchange. Despite being there for many days, Aurelius knew very little about the sirens.
Currently, Siren City has a parliamentary system similar to the Magic Congress. The city lord and several elders formed an elders' council responsible for managing the sirens.
"Who are these people?" Aurelius wondered.
City Lord: Chris Shafik. From his appearance, he seemed to be a member of the British Shafik family.
Elder: Harry Calderón, a member of a famous pure-blood family in Spain.
Elder: Marsh Liu. Additionally, Liu Tao, the founder and lifelong minister of the Ministry of Magic in China.
Elder: Abraham Potter II, who had little connection to the British Potters, was a descendant of the Twelve Aurors of the Magical Congress of Magnesia.
Elder: Quisanti Pedro, this individual is no ordinary noble; they are the founders of the Brazilian Empire known as Pedro I. This wizard holds significant influence in both the magical and Muggle worlds. Even though the Brazilian Empire no longer exists, this influence will not dissipate suddenly.
Indeed, a group of people similar to this ruled over Siren City. These individuals were not only powerful and influential but also renowned wizards. Not one of them is worse than Graves, who was replaced by Grindelwald.
Attempting to take control of Siren City away from such a group? Aurelius doesn't doubt his ability to accomplish it, but why should he undertake such a task? Even if he were to defeat Siren City with all his power, could this country maintain its position? Doing so would offend almost half of the magical world in one fell swoop!
Is he out of his mind? Does he wish to become enemies with half of the world's wizards simply for the sake of knowing useless information about the Blood Curse? Grindelwald couldn't even achieve such a feat!
Siren City is a coastal city heavily reliant on trade. Without commerce, the city holds no development value. It cannot isolate itself and close its doors.
What's more, despite Aurelius taking the blame, it was Tina Sebastian, a peculiar woman, who ultimately decided on Siren City. Aurelius couldn't even accomplish this task in a thousand attempts, let alone eleven thousand.
"One moment! Mr. Dumbledore!" Tina anxiously called out to Aurelius. "I didn't explain it clearly. Please stay and give me a chance to provide more details."
"This is your last chance," Aurelius calmly responded, suppressing his anger. If possible, he truly wishes to complete the deal.
Tina can live to be over a hundred years old, and if not, she can still live to be fifty or seventy years old. A Blood Curse has not transformed into a beast and lost consciousness for so many years. This is the method Aurelius needs.
"We don't need Mr. Dumbledore's assistance in capturing the sirens."
"Oh? Then I'm curious as to what else you may need from me."
"Your last name is Dumbledore."
Aurelius frowned. He doesn't want any connection to the Dumbledore family. He recalls that there is a dishonest father and uncle in England.
"Siren City heavily relies on its commercial prosperity. Once I retrieve the Siren, it will undoubtedly cause harm to the families behind those individuals. Therefore, I require foreign aid, particularly the support of the International Ministry of Magic. I hope to receive their assistance in this matter. Mr. Dumbledore, could you assist me in traveling to Germany, France, Portugal, Poland, Russia, and other countries to persuade the Ministry of Magic to support my claim of sovereignty over the sirens?"Tina said solemnly, "In return, I can share with you the results of the Siren clan's two hundred years of research on the blood-cursed."
Aurelius frowned and pondered for a moment, but he wasn't entirely in agreement with Tina Sebastian's idea. Aurelius wanted to delve deeper and consider the matter more thoroughly.
Tina Sebastian seemed to have thought everything through. Not only did she seek to establish ownership of the sirens, but she also anticipated potential backlash, protests, or even sanctions from various countries. Her plan involved lobbying those who had not yet obtained the sirens. She believed that the Ministry of Magic could exchange future business interests for international support.
But what about reality?
She was still too naive.
She believed that alienating some groups and gaining favor with others would resolve the dilemma, without taking into account the disparities in power.
Why were these people harboring the sirens?
Was it just these families?
The British magical world, the birthplace of wizards, boasts a rich history spanning thousands of years. It contains two of the seven immensely powerful clans!
In the Spanish magical world, wizards are renowned sailors. For centuries, the majority of magical ships sailing the seas were crafted by artisans from the Spanish magical world.
Although the Magical Congress and the Ministry of Magic of Brazil may lack knowledge, they remain the sole oligarchs of the New World. Siren City connects the north and south, serving as a vital waterway for east-west trade. Without the approval of these two countries, how could Siren City thrive economically?
The Chinese Ministry of Magic and the Japan Magic Institute represent emerging powers.
While the history of wizards may be relatively short in these countries, it is a legacy they hold dear and refuse to be stripped of.
No one can afford to disregard these two rising powers.
