"Albus told me that some friends might visit," Nicolas said in his hoarse, breathless voice, "but he didn't mention that there would be so many."
Nicolas's words caused the room to suddenly light up. Tina instinctively reached for her wand but then turned her head to look at Newt upon hearing Nicolas's surprise.
"Well, Dumbledore didn't inform me about anyone else being here."
"Mr. Nicolas Flamel, France's most renowned wizard and alchemist, and the sole creator of the Philosopher's Stone. I truly did not expect to find you here. It is an honor, Aurelius Dumbledore," Aurelius slightly bowed, showing his respect.
From any perspective, Nicolas Flamel is a respectable figure. He is incredibly talented and has achieved a remarkable feat that no one else has achieved - creating the Philosopher's Stone and using it to create the Elixir of Life, granting him 'eternal life'.
He possesses vast knowledge and countless students. Even when a young boy visited, he never belittled him. Instead, he warmly welcomed him and collaborated to write a paper on the twelve uses of dragon's blood. This accomplishment may hold no significance for the over 300-year-old Nicolas Flamel, but it can greatly elevate Dumbledore's reputation.
What is most noteworthy is his impartial view of the world. He loves but does not meddle. He can choose to die peacefully and live gracefully. He is a true recluse and expert, unlike Dumbledore who is simply a hermit.
"Ah- Aurelius, your achievements are legendary, and you will undoubtedly become a great person," Nicolas said, looking at him kindly, although his cloudy eyes were difficult to read due to his subdued expressions.
"It seems that you know," Aurelius chuckled.
"As an old man, I am physically disabled, so this is my only ability," Nicolas humorously remarked about himself.
"Please take a seat," Nicolas extended his hand slowly as if operating at half the speed.
His elixir wasn't particularly remarkable. It prolonged his life but did not halt his aging.
Six hundred years have passed, rendering his bones as fragile as tofu.
Aurelius couldn't bear living in such a state.
Everyone took a seat, now acquainted with Nicolas's name. Combined with his feeble appearance, few would perceive him as a threat, even after experiencing an attack.
"I apologize for intruding, Mr. Nicolas, but we recently encountered an attack," Tina said apologetically.
"It's alright, I witnessed it. They were excessively violent and would harm innocent individuals without reason. It's a tragic occurrence," Nicolas shook his head.
"I'm sorry - what do you mean you witnessed it?" Tina was puzzled.
Aurelius gestured towards the crystal ball on the desk, "Mr. Nicolas is a seer. I assumed you were aware."
"A seer? Merlin, I've heard enough prophecies lately," Tina couldn't help but hold her forehead."Okay, it's getting late," Aurelius said, addressing Nicolas Flamel, "Mr. Flamel, I apologize for disturbing you at such a late hour."
"It's alright, you're too polite, but it is quite late," Nicolas understood Aurelius' intention and replied, "There are a lot of you, I'm not sure if we can accommodate everyone..."
Nagini handed Aurelius' box to him, and of course, Newt also retrieved his box.
"That's enough, we have a place to stay."
The night was filled with silence.
The next morning, as Aurelius emerged from his suitcase, he saw Nicolas diligently studying the crystal ball.
"Good morning, Mr. Flamel."
"Oh, Aurelius," Nicolas nodded at him, then turned back to the crystal ball, "I finally made some progress."
"The tomb of Père Lachaise?" Aurelius inquired.
Nicolas Flamel's crystal ball, similar to Grindelwald's snuff pipe, could display prophecies in the form of pictures.
This allowed Aurelius to also witness Nicolas' prophecy.
Nicolas confirmed, "Yes. What a catastrophe!"
"It appears it will be an eventful night," Aurelius sighed as he observed the raging flames.
"Huh?" Aurelius spotted the black man appearing in the crystal ball and assumed his identity.
"Do you possess the gift of prophecy? Albus never mentioned it to me," Nicolas asked.
Aurelius shook his head, "Prophecy is a truly magical ability, but unfortunately, I lack it. I merely seem to have seen him."
"Yusuf Kama, a poor child, has been living in the sewers for many years and is in critical condition," Nicolas lamented.
Aurelius felt perplexed. He recalled Newt saving Yusuf. Could Yusuf have died from parasites in this world?
The shift in the storyline was insignificant, but Aurelius wondered, could Nicolas have foreseen it?
This ability was much stronger than Grindelwald's sporadic prophetic abilities!
"...Your prophecy is that powerful? You can know anything you wish to know?" Aurelius couldn't help but inquire.
Nicolas smiled and replied, "No, of course not. Every prophecy is a divine revelation. I am merely the vessel to convey God's message, helping the speechless God express his revelation."
"As a six-hundred-year-old man, there are certain things that don't require prediction," Nicolas mischievously winked.
"..." Did he just imply what Aurelius thought?
"Mr. Flamel, were you aware that I was seeking you?" Aurelius mentioned.
Nicolas Flamel seemed puzzled, "Seeking me?"
Aurelius breathed a sigh of relief. It appeared that Nicolas was not all-knowing and all-powerful after all.
"My companion, she is cursed with Maledictus. I am trying to find a cure for this curse, but unfortunately, we can't locate the original data on Maledictus curses. Do you happen to have it here?" Aurelius confessed.
Nicolas chuckled softly. "You're truly unique, and you've come to the right person. Curses like the blood curse have existed for thousands of years, but not everyone appreciates them or finds them useful. It's magic. However, fortunately, I used to enjoy collecting these books when I was younger, um - hold on a moment."
After Nicolas Flamel finished speaking, he quickly turned around and hurried towards the bookshelf, his voice gasping weakly: "Ha-ha-ha! Up there, the third... Ha, the third book—lift it."
