*PROLOGUE*

"Hurry up, they are coming, "Peter Berk told Marrina. His wife was expectant so he didn't want her to get hurt in Ultra's attack. Marrina had an injury from the previous attack. Peter asked Marrina to take care of herself and their baby. He gave her the charm to protect the baby from transforming. They cuddled and kissed goodbye. Tears ran down Marrina's face since she knew that it would be the last time that she would see Peter. She then took a secret path out of the woods.

After walking for some miles, Marrina felt exhausted. Her injury was bleeding profusely. She was losing so much blood that she felt dizzy and collapsed. When she regained her consciousness, she found herself on a bed in a cottage. She really freaked out but the man who sat next to her asked her to keep calm.

"I found you lying unconsciously in the woods. I just want to help you because you are in critical condition. I am not going to hurt you so please allow me to help," the man said. He introduced himself to Marrina as James Herbert and said her wound needed some herbs so he would search for them tirelessly.

James helped Marrina deliver her Baby, wrapped the baby in cloth, and handed it to her. Tears ran down her face when she saw her daughter.

"Her name will be Lola," Marrina said as she put the charm on the baby's neck. Marrina started nose bleeding so she handed the baby back to James. Her condition was worsening but she asked James not to search for a cure.

"Thank you for your help, sir. You really are a good person. Please take good care of my daughter and love her as your own. Give Lola the best life you can. We shall meet in eternity," Marrina said as she took in her last breath.

Tears ran down James' face as he closed Marrina's eyes. He swore over her dead body that he would take care of Lola till death. He held the poor baby tightly close to him and closed his eyes, full of sorrow.....
