You're awake

Three days had drifted by like a slow-moving river, each hour heavier than the last as I lay in the bed of the sterile hospital room. The pale light filtering through the curtains painted a somber scene, casting shadows that danced mournfully across the walls. I could feel the weight of worry pressing down on me, a heavy blanket suffocating my senses. But then, like a beacon in the darkness, consciousness returned to me, pulling me from the depths of my unconsciousness back into the harsh reality of the hospital room.

As I blinked away the haze of sleep, the first thing I saw was Raven's face, etched with concern, hovering over me like an angel. Her eyes, usually so full of mischief and determination, were now filled with tears, threatening to spill over at any moment.
