She felt observed. Everywhere. Even going along with the crowd made her uneasy.
"What do you want to do?" Zan looked as if he was calm, but as her Beta, he was just as vigilant.
"I'll excuse myself at the last moment before the podium discussion starts," Fiera whispered. "It's not like I'm the only one there anyway."
"But a lot of people will be looking forward to hearing you," he interjected.
"Well, I prefer holding on to my life, thank you."
Zan smiled weakly. "I'll message the Gammas to be on high alert in their divisions. Rin has a few of her elites dispatched here anyway. I'll request backup. We'll prepare your exit as smoothly as possible."
