Slowly, opening my eyes, I tried to figure out where I was. Turning my head to the side, I saw Noah sitting before me cupping his head in his hand. Gazing at him for a while, my eyes suddenly bugged when one after another thing that happened before I passed out began to flood my mind.
“Dee…” screaming I got up at once.
“Quynh, how are you feeling?” Noah reached out for me but pushing his hand away I tried to get down from the bed.
“Quynh, don’t, just rest for a while,” he said, trying to persuade him.
But not obeying him, I threw my leg off the bed and tried to get up saying, “I have to go. I need to see Dee.”
Pushing my shoulder, he made me stay back and wrapped his hand around me. Pressing my head on his stomach, he stroked my hair, trying to comfort me, “Shh! Shh! calm down. Everything's gonna be okay. Stay calm.”
His consolation was not working at all as my heart that was in pain was not in the stage of calming down, nor were those tears which were gushing down my eyes.
