Yin Zhu glanced at the man who sat next to her on the floor of the bathing room. She had no idea what to say to Situ Xun after his exclamation of how he couldn't care less about the opinion of his family.
A part of her knew that he was speaking the truth but at the same time, another part of her kept her grounded. She couldn't get ahead of herself, not when she knew what her status in this world was.
She turned her gaze away from Situ Xun and questioned, "Where are we?" Yin Zhu knew that she was not at the Situ mansion. The rooms were far smaller than at the Situ mansion.
"At the council," Situ Xun answered as he got up from the floor of the bathing room and walked over to the bathing essentials.
"Doesn't that mean people saw you bringing me here, young master?" Yin Zhu questioned in an anxious voice.
