Kevin awoke with a yawn, stretching his arms above his head as he sat up on the cold cave floor.
He rubbed his eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "What a good nap. Now my mind is refreshed," he said to himself, feeling the weariness from earlier melt away.
The dragon watched him curiously. "Was it a good nap?" she asked, her voice carrying a hint of surprise. She was still processing the fact that this human had just used her, a mighty True Dragon, as his personal pillow.
Kevin blinked, then nodded with enthusiasm. "Huh? Yes! It was a first-class nap. My mental strength was exhausted." He looked up at the towering dragon, a newfound clarity in his eyes.
As Kevin carefully studied Velgrynd's eyes, the realization slowly dawned on him. "Say, system. Can you tell me which world I'm in right now?" he asked, his thoughts racing.
"Host, you are in Tensura," the system replied, its voice echoing in Kevin's mind.
"Tensura… True Dragon, red scales, golden eyes… Isn't she Velgrynd?" Kevin mused silently. The pieces were falling into place, and the realization hit him like a bolt of lightning.
She noticing his intense gaze, raised an eyebrow. "Why are you staring at me?" she asked, a bit unnerved by his scrutiny.
Kevin blinked, snapping out of his thoughts. "Oh, sorry. I was just thinking that your eyes and voice are beautiful. I bet you're an absolute stunner in your human form," he said, the words slipping out from his mouth.
Velgrynd froze, her eyes widening "Y-You're odd… Thinking that a True Dragon can be beautiful… Most humans would be too scared to even approach us," she stammered, her usual confidence wavering.
Kevin leaning back on his hands as he looked up at her. "Well, I've never been one to follow the crowd. Besides, you've got this whole fiery elegance thing going on. It's kind of mesmerizing, honestly."
"Hmph! Glad you noticed ,I'm still a True Dragon, after all," she huffed, though the faint blush on her scales betrayed her.
Kevin chuckled, finding her reaction more adorable than intimidating. "True, but I'm just calling it as I see it. By the way, what's your name, Miss Dragon?" he asked, already knowing the answer but wanting to see her reaction.
Velgrynd tilted her head, realizing she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. Remember it well, as there are only three True Dragons in existence. I'm one of them, the Scorch Dragon Velgrynd," she declared with pride.
Kevin's eyes lit up as the confirmation settled in. "So she is indeed Velgrynd… Then I'm very far from the main story. Maybe that's not so bad. I can gain tons of experience and discover new mysteries—like magic!" Kevin's thoughts raced with excitement.
Velgrynd, observing his expression, mistakenly believed that Kevin was impressed by her might. "Human… I've decided not to kill you. Be grateful," she said, trying to maintain her regal demeanor.
Kevin, however, was busy with his system, completely missing her attempt at sounding magnanimous.
Velgrynd, growing impatient, broke the silence. "Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" she asked, her voice laced with a mix of irritation and curiosity.
Kevin snapped out of his thoughts, quickly realizing his rudeness. "Ah, yes! Sorry for my late introduction. My name is Kevin Kaslana. Glad to meet you, beautiful dragon," he said with a warm smile.
"Y-You…!" she sputtered, at a loss for words. No one had ever spoken to her like this before, and she wasn't sure how to handle it.
You've been awfully lenient with me for a dragon who's supposed to be all majestic and terrifying," he teased.
Velgrynd's jaw dropped, and she quickly snapped her mouth shut, glaring at him.
" I'll have you know, I could turn this entire cave into a sea of flames if I wanted to!" she boasted, though her voice lacked its usual fierceness.
Kevin laughed softly, enjoying the way she was getting flustered. "Sure, Velgrynd. Whatever you say. But I have to admit, you're pretty cute when you're trying to act all tough," he added.
Velgrynd whipped her head back to glare at him, her golden eyes blazing. She could only stare at him, speechless.
This human was unlike anyone she had ever met. He was fearless, cheeky, and completely unafraid of her. For the first time in a long while, she found herself unsure of what to say or do.
Great Scorch Dragon, majestic dragon… I have a few questions," he said with mock admiration, bowing slightly as if addressing royalty.
"W-What is your question, human?" she stammered, trying to regain her composure.
Can you tell me where are we right now.
Velgrynd cleared her throat, grateful for the change in topic. "We are currently in the east of the continent, my home," she answered, her voice regaining its usual confidence.
Kevin's mind raced once more. "So that means the Eastern Empire hasn't been built yet… Rudra might not even be born," he thought, piecing together the timeline. He was further from the main story than he had initially realized, but perhaps that wasn't such a bad thing after all.
She had never met a human like Kevin before, and though she would never admit it out loud, she was beginning to find his presence… intriguing.
Kevin, noticing her contemplative expression, grinned. "Don't worry, Velgrynd. I'm not planning on going anywhere. After all, who wouldn't want to hang out with such a 'majestic' dragon?" he said, giving her a playful salute.
An intense brilliance cut kevin eyes as velgrynd did on purpose.
As Kevin squinted, trying to adjust to the sudden burst of light, he felt a shift in the air.
The brightness gradually subsided, and when he reopened his eyes, he was greeted with a sight that left him momentarily speechless.
Standing before him was Velgrynd, but she no longer bore the imposing form of a massive dragon. Instead, she had transformed into a stunning woman with light blue hair tied into twin bows, held by elegant black ribbons.
Her deep golden eyes shimmered with a mix of mischief and curiosity as she observed Kevin's reaction. Her attire was just as mesmerizing—she wore a dark-colored porcelain dress adorned with a golden dragon pattern.
Her long white gloves and thigh-high boots, both embellished with intricate golden trimmings, completed the look of someone who was equal parts regal and enchanting.
Velgrynd smirked, clearly enjoying the effect her transformation had on him. **"Do you like what you see~?"** she asked, playfully attempting to mimic Kevin's usual tone.
Kevin, still taken aback by her sudden transformation, nodded quickly. "Yes... I like what I see!" he blurted out, his voice filled with genuine admiration.
Velgrynd's confident smirk faltered, replaced by a surprised expression. "Wh-what! There's no need to be so direct!" she exclaimed, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. Now that she was in human form, Kevin could clearly see her flustered reaction.
Kevin chuckled softly, amused by her unexpected bashfulness. "Sorry, Velgrynd, but I'm just being honest. You look incredible, and I'm not one to hide my thoughts," he said.
Velgrynd crossed her arms. "Hmph! Well, I suppose a dragon as magnificent as myself can pull off any form," she said, her voice regaining some of its usual confidence.
They continued talking, the conversation flowing naturally between them. Velgrynd, despite her initial attempts to maintain a regal demeanor, found herself enjoying Kevin's company more than she expected.
He was easygoing, humorous, and had a way of making her feel at ease, which was something she wasn't used to.
After some time, Velgrynd asked, "So, what do you plan to do now?"
Kevin leaned back, thinking for a moment before answering. "Probably train and explore the world. There's so much out there I want to see and learn," he replied with a determined smile.
Velgrynd's eyes lit up with excitement. "Great! Then you can stay here!" she exclaimed, a bright smile spreading across her face. The idea of having Kevin around clearly pleased her, though she wasn't quite sure why she felt this way.
Kevin smiled at her enthusiasm. "Sure, thank you very much! But could you teach me some magic while I'm here?" he asked, his tone both hopeful and eager.
Velgrynd smirked, her confidence returning. **"Of course! I'll teach you magic that will make those mere mortals tremble in fear,"** she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Kevin chuckled, finding her dramatic flair amusing.
"Sounds good to me, as long as you promise not to go easy on me just because I'm a mere mortal," he teased, causing Velgrynd to scoff playfully.
"Hmph! As if I would! You'll learn the hard way, Kevin Kaslana," she declared, her tone filled with mock seriousness.
They continued to banter back and forth, their conversation filled with light-hearted teasing and genuine camaraderie.
As the days went on, Velgrynd showed Kevin around her home, guiding him through the intricacies of magic and sharing stories about the world they were in.
Kevin, in turn, entertained her with tales from his own world, making her laugh with his witty remarks and amusing anecdotes.
At one point, Kevin couldn't resist teasing her again. "You know, Velgrynd, you're pretty cute when you're not trying to incinerate me," he said with a grin.
Velgrynd blushed, quickly turning her head away. "C-Cute? I'm a True Dragon, you fool!.
