Whose Victory

Akaza tried to get away, but his other arm was stuck.

Netsu jammed her blade into his neck, trying to do more damage.

"GET OUT OF MY WAAAY" he yelled.

The blade started to cut his neck a bit.

" GO AND HELP! IT'S FOR RENGOKU-SAN'S SAKE!" Shizen yelled as she started to run towards the scene.

Then, just as they were approaching, Akaza ripped his own arms off, and ran away.

With parts of both blades still in his neck.

The sun was still rising.

Akaza ran away into the forest.

Then tanjiro threw his own blade into the forest, hitting akaza.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING, YOU COWARD?! DON'T RUN AWAY!! THE DEMON SLAYER CORPS ARE FLESH-AND-BLOOD HUMANS! OUR WOUNDS DON'T CLOSE QUICKLY! LOST LIMBS DON'T GROW BACK! AND YET, YOU'LL ONLY FIGHT US IN THE DARK OF NIGHT WHEN YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE! SO WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?! YOU JERK! COWARD! YOUR AFRAID TO ADMIT… THAT YOU HAVEN'T WON TODAY! THE RENGOKU'S HAVEN'T LOST! THEY'RE MUCH STRONGER THAN YOU! AND KYOJURO RENGOKU HASN'T LET ANYONE DIE! HE SAW THE FIGHT THROUGH TO THE END! HE PROTECTED THE REST OF US! THIS IS YOUR DEFEAT! AND THE VICTORY...BELONGS TO THEM"

Then tanjiro started to scream.

Then netsu started to sob as well.

"Don't cry so hard, kid…go grab kamado for me?" Kyojuro smiled

Netsu walked over to Tanjiro, and tapped his shoulder.

Then she motioned that Kyojuro wanted to talk to the both of them.

"You're hurt pretty bad too, y'know...that cut in your belly will open up. And if you die, that means I won't have my victory anymore….let's speak...until the end."

Tanjiro started to cry.
