"They're the pillars of the demon slayer corps...they're higher than the ranks you know…" shizen said.
"This is the demon slayer corps headquarters. And you tanjiro kamado, are about to be put on trial." shinobu smiled

The hashira are 9 demon slayer corps members with the highest level of swordsmanship. Lower ranked members die incredibly quickly, but the hashira are different. They provide stability to the demon slayer corps.
"THERE'S NO NEED FOR A TRIAL! PROTECTING A DEMON IS CLEARLY AGAINST CORPS RULES! LETS JUST LOP HIS HEAD OFF ALONG WITH THE DEMON'S!"
That guy who looks like he has flames for hair and screams as if he has no eardrums (which he doesn't)?

The girl right next to him who has way too much ClEvAhGe showing is Mitsuri kanroji.

That very tall guy who looks like he would be a very scary priest is gyomei himejima, the hashira of stone.
"What was that name of the cloud again…" a boy muttered
That boy was Muichiro tokito.
"Let's kill 'em" himejima said
"YEAH!" rengoku boomed
"But in StYlE!!" uzui said
Tanjiro looked around, frantically.
"Forget about him, what are we going to do with shizen, tomioka and that other boy…" someone from the tree spoke.
In the tree, there was a dude with black hair and a snake.
That was Obanai Iguro.
The hashira of Snakes.
"Kocho says they broke the rules too. What shall we do about this? How shall we take responsibility?
What price shall they pay? Right now they're just wandering around freely...it gives me a headache."

He's the hashira of water.

Then he stopped drinking and threw the cup away
"My sister was turned into a demon...but she hasn't eaten any human flesh! She hasn't and she won't! Nezuko will never hurt anyone!" tanjiro yelled
"Stop spewing such nonsense. I don't trust anything anyone says, and I especially don't trust you. She's your sister, of course you'll protect her!!"obanai said

He grabbed his blade, and stabbed the box with nezuko in it.
"NEZUKO!!" the trio screamed
With that, tanjiro was up and running.
He ran towards sanemi, screaming
"I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE A HASHIRA OR WHATEVER!! I WON'T LET ANYONE HURT MY SISTER!!" he yelled.
"HA HA HA HA! ON NO? GOOD!"
"STOP!! THE MASTER WILL BE HERE SOON!!" giyuu and shizen yelled.
Sanemi tried to slash tanjiro, but tanjiro jumped and headbutted him.
Sanemi's nose started to bleed due to the impact.
Then they both fell to the ground.
"Pfft…" mitsuri giggled
Everyone looked at her
"Sorry…" she said
Tanjiro sat in front of the box.
"IF YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOOD DEMON AND A BAD DEMON, THEN YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE A HASHIRA!!"
"Why you...YOU'RE DEAD!!" sanemi tried to crawl over to tanjiro, but
"The master of the mansion has arrived!" someone said
Someone walked out onto the front porch.
He was blind, and had black hair, parted in the middle.
He was ill.
"Welcome...my demon slayers"
His voice was almost soothing
