Chapter 61

Conversation turns from the me Jimin and Namjoon saga to Lori and Yoongi's date yesterday. They went to a large park where there is a boating lake in the middle and they make picnic baskets you can buy and they rent blankets out. It sounds lovely. They had a little go on the boat, each taking a turn rowing. Apparently Lori just went round in a circle, and Yoongi was much better at actually making them move.

"The weather was just warm enough that we were comfortable, you know I hate being cold. The picnic was lovely, little sandwiches and cakes and a bottle of champagne. We sat and people watched, talked about silly things and then he got deep on me".

I look at her trying to search her face for a positive outcome to this deep and meaningful conversation and she looks at me and a broad smile fills her face. "Go on then, tell me" I say impatiently wanting more gossip.

"Well, he starts of by saying he has something he wants me to know and that he hopes it doesn't change my perspective of him. I have no idea what he is going to say and try not to think of all the negatives it could be. I sit there waiting for him to speak and then all of a sudden he blurts out that he was a virgin before we slept together".  I act as surprised as I can do so she doesn't realise I already knew.

"I know right!? How is that possible? He was so confident and so so so so good at it. I tell him it makes no difference to me and how he didn't perform like a virgin. I mean can you remember me telling you about Aaron Jones? You can't get any worse than that first time. Anyway, he then carries on saying he always thought that sex wouldn't happen until marriage and marriage wouldn't happen until he loved someone, but that he was so taken with me straight away that he couldn't help where our bodies took us. That makes sense to me, lust is a big driver into sex. Love always comes later. I suppose it's not like that in Korea. Well, then he leans in and kisses me, and looks in my eyes, and whispers to me that he loves me!"

"Wow, that's amazing Lori" I say excitedly grabbing her hands.

"But that's not all of it though Aimee. He asked me to go to Korea with him when he goes back because he doesn't want to be without me!"

"Fuck!" I say really loudly in complete shock. We sit there for a minute just looking at each other. Me not wanting to ask for her thoughts, and clearly her not wanting to tell me her thoughts. I swallow hard and finally brave the question. "So, what did you say!?"

"Aimee, I have never felt like this about anyone before and I know it's quick but I need to know if it will work so I said yes".

"Fuck" I repeat. "I'm sorry, that's not fair of me. I should be totally thrilled for you". I pull her in for a hug and squeeze her so tight she complains she feels like she is being constricted by a snake.

"It's ok, of course I knew you would be happy for me but sad for you. All we need now is for Namjoon to ask you to come too! I mean, I know he loves you, he told me as much and I know he has told you that too. Has he mentioned anything about what is going to happen between you when he goes home?" She asks.

"No, he hasn't".
