Chapter 55
It's morning and I sleepily stretch my limbs looking at the handsome man on my left. He looks serene whilst he is sleeping, his lilac hair flat and falling over his forehead. I stroke across his eyebrows one by one and he stirs. His lids open revealing his gorgeous warm brown eyes and a smile immediately fixes on his face. I shift closer to him and snuggle into his neck. Long strong arms wrap around me hugging me into him tightly. "Good morning baby" he says, his voice more gravelly than usual.
"I need to ask you something" I utter before carrying on with "why do you have an American accent?" He chuckles and tells me he gets asked this a lot, usually in interviews. He explains that he taught himself to speak English by watching the TV show friends and the accent stuck. "I love that show" I say excited. Just another thing we have in common it would seem.
"Shall we go to the national portrait gallery today?" I ask him before kissing him and sitting up moving my legs out of the duvet. "That would be really lovely he replies" sitting up too. I grab my phone to check what time the gallery opens on a Sunday and the website says it's closed until 2023 because it is being refurbished! I tell him, the disappointment evident on my face. "How about the National gallery instead?" He suggests. I look on the web for this one and that's open from 10am so we have plenty of time to get ready and have breakfast before it opens.
"Cool, it's a date" I say excitedly getting clothes out ready to put on after i'm clean. I ask Alexa to play my R&B playlist and turn herself up and grab his hand so he can join me in the shower. Let's get a little more dirty before we get clean!
This time is a little more lustful than last night, but it is still tender. As a lover he is definitely more concerned about my pleasure than his own satisfaction and I will not complain about that.
I have decided to wear my new boots that he has bought me so put on black ripped jeans, a black cami and a black shirt with matching roses on over the top but undone. I blow dry and straighten my hair. It's getting quite long and reaches the middle of my back, I should really get it cut. I'm applying my makeup in the mirror in my bedroom when he asks my opinion on his outfit. He has light denim jeans on with a white t-shirt and a baby pink shirt on over the top done up to his chest. "You look lovely" I say, warmed by the thought he wants to look good for me. "White trainers or black boots?" He asks. "White trainers" I say thinking they be more comfortable for him as we are going to be doing a fair bit of walking today.
Once we are finished getting ready it's still early so we decide to go and have breakfast at the cafe around the corner. Namjoon wants today to be as normal as possible so we are not calling in either Ji-Ho or Min-Jun to ferry us about, instead we are going to use public transport. We walk to our first stop, enter the little cafe and find an available table before taking a seat. A lady calls to us from behind the counter that she will be right with us and I nod back to her. There are only a few people in here, avidly reading the paper and paying us no mind.
"What can I get you?" The lady asks after delivering food to a gentleman at the table next to us. "I will have a bacon and well done hash brown roll please, with butter but no sauce and a cup of coffee thanks". She looks to Namjoon and he simply says "Same please". She scribbles this on her pad and off she goes. He looks at me quizzically and says "what's a hash brown?" I laugh, how cute, he has just ordered the same as me but doesn't know what one of the components is. I explain and he licks his lips and says "yummy" rubbing his tummy as he does.
I have noticed that on the whole he is a very deep thinker, very clever with fantastic empathy but still has a playful and jovial side. I know he has a cheeky and naughty side too, i've seen it but I do wonder if what I saw was forced because of the situation? I hope that side comes out again, i'm really happy with the intimacy we had last night and this morning but we need a balance and I have said I don't want to be vanilla anymore. At some stage we will need to discuss sex a little more. I need to know what he has done, what he wants to do and his likes and dislikes in the bedroom.
Our food arrives, and he hurriedly picks up the roll taking a big bite. "Wow, that's really good" he says. "Yep, it's a winning combination. It's going to set you up well for the day" I reply back. After we have finished eating I manage to pay the bill before he realises. Finally! I've paid for something. I mean this was only £12.50, but still, it's a start.
We head off to the bus stop and jump on the number 8 which takes us to Bethnal Green station where we get on the central line to Tottenham Court Road and then change to the Northern line for Charing Cross. The gallery is a 3 minute walk from here. The whole journey he was people watching and pointing out street art and architecture to me. It's cute seeing him being a tourist. I wonder how much of the places he goes too he actually gets too see. Do they get days off to actually see the sights or are they stuck in arenas and TV studios before hotels and then airports?
Trafalgar Square is busy, people taking photos around the fountain and sitting on the steps that lead up to the gallery. We decide to take some snaps with gallery behind us to document this special first date moment before we head up to the main entrance and get started on our tour through the building.
