Chapter 49

I hear a tap on the door, I open my eyes expecting it to be light out, but it is still dark. "Come in, I croak". Sylvia is standing at the door and says "sorry to disturb you Miss Thomson but you have a visitor" she steps to one side and in walks Yoongi.

"Thank you Sylvia" I say and turn to him. He looks concerned. Sylvia leaves and closes the door behind her. He tells me to cover my eyes, and I think that's a weird thing to say but I do as he says and he turns on the main light bringing the room awake.

"Are you ok Aimee?" He asks, really sweetly. He perches on the edge of the bed, and grabs my feet through the covers. He begins to massage them. "Did Lori tell you to do that?" I question pointing at my feet. She used to do that to me whenever I was down, it soothes me. He lets out a little chuckle and says "yes".

"Listen, everyone wanted to come and get you, especially Lori, but I think you need someone like me to talk to. I've had my demons in the past, and I know the guys really well so might help you shed some light on a way out of the situation you have found yourself in, likewise Lori really knows you and can talk to the boys"he says calmly still rubbing my feet.

"They are so upset that they have made you feel so uncomfortable Aimee. Neither one of them intended it. I'm sure you are confused on what to do and I am hoping I can help you decide. Let me explain some things to you, ok?"He says softly. I nod and let him continue.

"You probably know that back in Korea we are unable to date easily. Our management want us to look available to our fans, so we are all pretty naive about girls and we are not really experienced. I'm going to be honest here and tell you that Lori is my first. I haven't told her that, but she is. I have always said that it wouldn't happen until marriage and marriage wouldn't happen until I loved someone, and I can't explain fully how it came to be but it felt completely right in the moment. The first time I saw her picture my heart skipped a beat and I got a lump in my throat and then spending time with her that first night I felt this connection and I just let myself go. I don't regret it at all. I find her mesmerising. Am I in love though? I don't know. It would all be a bit sudden wouldn't it, but who says there has to be a time limit when it comes to stuff like that".

"Jimin has been with 2 people before you, one when he was very young and one a few years ago, neither were special and neither lasted long. He is very easily led by his heart in all things and gets swept up and lets himself dream like he is a Disney Prince. When we first heard about you he was sure you were the next biggest love story, and that he would be bringing you back to Korea with him, but on the first day of recording he called his Mum because he was struggling with a melody and told her about you. She wasn't impressed as she wants him to marry a Korean girl, she is very traditional, and he has always wanted to please his parents. He was then in conflict with himself, feeling things for you but thinking it might not end how you wanted, wanting to make the most of the opportunity but not wanting to hurt you. He wanted to continue exploring things with you but wasn't sure it could be more after, and he didn't know how to broach the subject with you properly. He told us that he wanted to arrange a birthday present for you to make you feel special but wasn't sure what to get you. Namjoon arranged that for him. He chose your ring".

"Namjoon is probably the most experienced out of all of us. He spent time in the USA before we debuted and had a few flings, but he was young. His family are less traditional, but even if they weren't he is strong willed and if they didn't agree with who he loved he would get them to see his viewpoint eventually. I really think he can see himself bringing you back to Korea to be with him. He knows what he wants in a girl, and has had an image of her in his head for a while and he can't believe how much like her you are. He was gutted that Jimin found you first and was in conflict with himself about pursuing you and possibly hurting Jimin so he tried to make it exciting for him. Whilst he really enjoyed being with you, it was hard for him to share you, he wishes he could go back and do things differently".

I've sat and listened, my head whirling even more now. I wish that had made things crystal clear for me but it hasn't. I shake my head and put my hands on top of it and let out a stifled scream. "Thanks Yoongi, I really appreciate you telling me all of this, and i'm glad I know it, but it doesn't help me know what the right thing to do is". He shrugs, and returns "how do we ever know for sure until after what the right thing was?" I laugh and call him Confucius.

"Have they all gone home?" I ask, "are they ok? Is Lori mad at me?" He tells me to not worry, he says that Lori is fine and the boys are concerned but not mad. They have all gone back to Lori's and that he decided to find me. "Actually how did you know I was here?" I ask quizzically. "I used my charm on Polly so she would give me the address" he laughs. "Anyway, you need to sleep, I will stay here if it's ok with you and we can head back in the morning? Fresh rested eyes might make a better decision". He gets up to go and sit in the chair in the corner, ever the gentleman, but I pat the side of the bed next to me and ask him to join me. "Just to sleep mind you, I love my best friend and wouldn't do anything to hurt her". He looks at me and a smile forms on his face. "Me neither, and I am sure I love her too".
