Chapter 25
Tuesday is pretty much a carbon copy of Monday. I've told Jimin about answering the call from Namjoon and about his and Yoongi's imminent arrival on UK soil. Their flight is 10:30am today English time, meaning they should get to Lori's around midnight tonight. Yep, that's right, we have decided that Jimin and I will take the room with the mirror and Namjoon and Yoongi can stay in the room with the window. I presume they won't mind sharing a bed. I've read they used to sleep in bunk beds in the same room when they first started out and it's only going to be for about a week or so I think.
I've told Lori she is being drafted in to support me with the sight seeing. I can't handle 3 men all on my own. Well, not yet anyway. She is ok to carry on staying at mine for however long it is needed. She has been Googling the band and learning about them all since I first told her about Jimin, so she knows who Yoongi and Namjoon are. She is super excited because funnily enough she fancies Yoongi the most. She likes his swagger, his anti social stand offish demeanour. He looks like he doesn't take no shit, but occasionally you see a little glimmer of fun. He is dedicated to his music, passionate, and they are things she likes in a man. It doesn't hurt that he has a gorgeous face either.
When we are at the studio I add Namjoon and Yoongi to the guest list for the studio Jimin is booked into and ask Nancy to prepare their passes for tomorrow. I decide it's probably best to let Mr Nickel know about the changes to the plan and head up to his office. After knocking he gestures for me to come in. "Just wanted to update you, Jimin's band mates Yoongi and Namjoon are flying over today. They will be here from tomorrow for at least a week. They will stay with me too in the hopes of not exciting the press and fans". His jaw drops open, stunned. I'm not sure if it's because having 1 of them here was exciting enough not to mention 3 or if he is bothered by me sleeping in a flat with essentially what to him is 3 strangers.
"Wow, ok, blimey, erm, that's great news for us. What about for you though? Is that ok? Do you have enough space for them all?" He asks inquisitively. "We will be fine" I admonish. "They are due to get in quite late tonight so is it ok if we come in a bit later tomorrow?" I ask. He gets up from his desk and comes round to me and places his hands on my upper arms, in a sincere and calm voice he utters "you come and go as is necessary Aimee, if Nancy gets busy then Megan from finance can help out".
We stand there for a further minute and then he realises he is still touching me. He drops his hands and clears his throat. "I do really appreciate all this Aimee, maybe once the album is all done we can discuss you being promoted to client liaison. Hopefully we will garner some attention from out in the world of music if our name appears on a BTS spin off and we may end up having bigger names coming in. You have already showed it's something you can handle". I thank him and leave. I enjoy being on the front desk welcoming people, but I'm not going to lie, having to look after famous people and get them what they need sounds fun.
By 1pm Jimin has grown impatient with the sound engineer and told him that their collaboration is not working. He wants to leave for the day, so I grab my stuff and Ji-Ho and Min-Jun drive us home.
"What do you want to do this afternoon then?" I ask him. I know what we could easily fall into, but I don't want that to be all this is. I think he is feeling the same because he puts a hand on mine and just says "be with you and chill". I suggest we stop at the supermarket on route to the flat and get some groceries. We can cook something nice for dinner and make sure there are snacks and stuff for when the boys arrive later, and maybe after dinner we could listen to each others favourite songs and try and inspire him. He loves that idea so I give directions to Ji-Ho who is driving to the nearest Sainsbury's.
