It's not like he did not care about his studies but Jiro's first priority has always been his soccer career. "I'm gonna be a professional soccer player just so you know. I'll go to your hospital for check-ups so make sure to give me some discounts." The teenager said with some arrogance.
Jiro is part of the soccer team with those so-called friends. He never gets to play in any of the official matches and is always just there to pick up balls, though he is allowed to play whenever there is practice.
The coach is biased to the seniors of the soccer team. Jiro despite being part of the Spade family never once gave any money to the coach to put him in the starting line up, maybe that is one of the reasons why he was never picked despite his overwhelming talent in the sports.
"Enough with that, I'm excited to finally gamble again!" He exclaimed with joy as he imagined a different plan in betting. Should he go all in for more thrill or use his chips little by little to prolong the matches? His blood is boiling from the excitement he is feeling.
"Calm down, we are still in the van." Mikhail said in a grumble before settling down back into Ren's lap. The little student gave him the stinky eyes, but did not bother telling him off.

After a few more hours they finally arrived at Las Vegas. The place was full of lights and it nearly blinded Ren so he squinted his eyes subconsciously when a hand suddenly covered his eyes from the light.
"Get used to it first, don't stare too much, it would be bad for the eyes." Ren looked at Mikhail who had a glass on his face and nearly laughed at the irony.
"If you know that then you should take care of yourself too." He tried to pat his head like he is telling a child off but he is tip-toeing but still can't reach Mikhail's head. The school tyrant realized what he was doing and bent his knees a little bit so the little student could reach his head.
Ren thought that he would lose face but Mikhail luckily let him do the action of patting his head.
Dean noticed that a pair of first-year was nowhere to be found so he went back and saw them spreading dog food everywhere, his sweat dropped at the scene full of pink bubbles. Can't they at least pick a location before showing off their relationship?
"Oi oi enough with flirting, let's get going or you would get lost." Dean interrupted their moment and grabbed both of them to walk.
Ren was immediately flustered. "F-flirting?!" They are not flirting at all! He wanted to exclaim.
After a while they arrived at a hotel where they would be staying for the night. Ren felt bewildered that there are no customers and all of the staff is welcoming them in a neat line like those movies he saw.
"Welcome to the hotel, young masters, we had prepared your room in advance." The head of the hotel bowed his head for them to settle down first before they toured around. Everything screams expensive and even the carpet on the floor seems something Ren could not afford. Though it is not like he could fly to the room and not stain the carpet when it is on the floor.
"Take our things first, we would be going around the place on our own no need for the tour." Jiro gave their luggage to the bell boy and then he pulled the group to the casino
"It's casino time baby! Here take this and use it to buy some chips." No one even noticed when he change his money to chips but he straight out gave them a plate full of chips to play with.
To gamble in a casino they would first need to exchange their money with some chips and then they would then start playing. The place is bustling with people, some winning but more people are losing.
Isn't this dangerous?
As a poor man, Ren knew how tempting easy money is. Though he himself is not really that great of a gambler. He would end up just losing all of his chips.
"Don't bother thinking of losing and saving money, just think of it as a token you use for fun. Once you're out then you are out." Mikhail said to Ren as he pulled him to a roulette machine. You just need to decide if the ball would fall into what color.
While Ren and Mikhail are busy playing simple games, of course, Dean had to follow the troublemaker gambler of the group. Jiro went and decided to play a high-risk game using cards.
"All in! " Jiro announced as he was handed out the cards.
"Oh so are you guys gonna fold? Let's all go all in." The people who knew and do not know him would think he is crazy. This is no strategy, only plain recklessness.
"Are you sure you want to do all in?" The game here is simple, each player has a card. The other person should just guess if it is odd or even. The one holding the card is required to give a bet while the other person could choose to fold or try to guess. All players could only fold/ skip once. They are allowed to skip if they think the player is holding the joker since it is neither odd nor even, but if they decided to bet and the joker is the card then they lose and would need to pay an equivalent amount to what the cardholder waged.
If the player already skipped once but wants to skip again, then they need to pay the equivalent amount wagered if the card is not the joker. If they made a mistake in guessing odd or even then they only pay the amount they wager while if they win they get the amount the cardholder wagered. The guesser would get 50 percent more if they bet higher than the cardholder and would get twice the amount they wagered if they guessed odd or even correctly.
"Yep, I'm pretty sure." Jiro replied while Dean could only facepalm at Jiro. This is only the very first round and he is doing highrisk. The other people watching liked the thrill.
"Kid you are so easy to read. It's obvious you don't have the Joker card too bad it would go to waste. I want to bet the answer is odd. "
Jiro's eyes widened before he started laughing wildly. He slammed the joker card he is holding on his hands down the table and then gave a toothy grin.
"I won."
