Building connection

Moriko's delight was evident as she saw the snack brought by Kenji's assistant – a cheesecake paired with a lemonade. Despite her tough exterior, Moriko had a sweet tooth, a characteristic opposite to her sister Mariko, who preferred spicy foods.

"Oh, that looks amazing! Cheesecake is always a favorite of mine."

Moriko couldn't hide her excitement at the prospect of indulging in a sweet treat, and her smile reflected her anticipation of savoring the cheesecake and lemonade.

"If I were Mariko and you threw in a cheesecake, you've got yourself and your company a deal." Moriko said as she accepted the cheesecake from Kenji with a grin, clearly looking forward to the delightful treat.

Kenji smiled in response, relieved to have found a shared appreciation for sweets. He commented on the pairing of cheesecake with lemonade and how it complemented the dessert much better than coffee. Moriko, on the other hand, confessed her preference for tea, as she didn't fancy bitter drinks like coffee.

"I've always paired it with tea, actually. Coffee's a bit too bitter for my taste. But Mari's a javaphile! Coffee courses through her veins."

Kenji, observing the differences in tastes preferences between the twins, couldn't help but be curious about whether they had anything in common or shared any specific interests. He decided to inquire about it, interested in learning more about Moriko and Mariko's relationship.

Since you and Mariko are twins, do you two have anything in common or a particular interest you both pursue together?

Kenji's question aimed to uncover any shared hobbies or similarities that might exist between the sisters, adding another layer to the conversation about their relationship.

Moriko paused for a moment, donning a thoughtful expression as she contemplated the things she and Mariko had in common. Then, a smile lit up her face as she came up with an answer.

"Well, we both share a love for music. In fact, we enjoy the same genre."

Kenji's eyes lit up with interest upon hearing Moriko's response, and he followed up with a question about the specific genre of music that she enjoyed. He seemed to be considering the possibility of inviting artists from that genre as guests for an upcoming event.

"That's great to hear! What genre of music do you both like? We might have some exciting opportunities for musical guests at our upcoming event."

Moriko shared that she and Mariko both had a love for classical music but had specific preferences within the genre – Mariko favored the piano, while Moriko had a fascination with the violin.

Kenji's eyes gleamed with excitement as he mentioned being close friends with Linda Starling, a world-class violinist.

"That's quite interesting! I happen to be close friends with Linda Starling, a world-class violinist."

Moriko's eyes sparkled with excitement upon learning that Linda Starling was Kenji's close friend. Linda happened to be her favorite violinist, and her interest in the instrument had flourished during her time in Italy.

"Linda Starling? She's my favorite violinist! Promise me you'll bring her to the event, no matter what!"

Kenji nodded with a smile, raising his right hand in a playful pledge, agreeing to make every effort to have Linda attend the event.

As they continued their enjoyable conversation, Kenji's assistant discreetly approached and whispered something to him. Moriko deduced that it might be time for Kenji to return to the boardroom. She decided to start enjoying her cheesecake, inviting Kenji to do the same before it got cold due to their lively chat.

"Well, let's not let this delicious cheesecake go to waste. Dig in before it loses its perfect flavor!"

With the promise of an exciting event and a delightful snack before them, Moriko savored their cheesecake and lemonade, Kenji enjoying the moment of connection.
