He had shifted and ran with her on his back to the far cliffs once again. He didn't even shift back into a human again. It was an interesting tactic, but Isla's wolf was ready to rise to the challenge. And that was where Isla's day went blank.
She didn't remember the morning at all. They'd taken a short break for lunch, but were back at it again immediately after that. By the time they'd returned to the pack, it was nearly dark and Isla was starving. Kelly had dropped her off at the infirmary with Nana and Victoria on his way to the Big House to speak with Landon, and that was where she'd been for two hours.
The bread that Nana had given her wasn't enough to keep her full, but it had settled her stomach.
She now just wanted real food.
Nana spoke up, pulling Isla from her thoughts.
"Kelly is going to be Alpha soon, and the Alpha runs the full moon ceremony, at least this one."
"What's special about this one?" Isla wondered.
