Why?

"Where's she?!" I heard a man yell as he pointed a gun towards my grandmother. Her hands were sweaty and her voice was shaky, " I..I don't know."

Angered by her words, the man moved closer to her, trying to sound convincing he said "Just give her to me and you'll be safe."

My grandmother shooked her head nervously, He eyes wet with tears, "I really don't.. don't know"

Hiding in a small room, I was tempted to come out, But then I remembered her words, "Don't come out no matter what."

We were having dinner and chatting happily when we suddenly saw huge men, armed to the teeth coming into our house. Terrified, my grandmother hurriedly hid me in a small room. The words "Why?" We're stuck in my throat as my grandmother didn't allow me to say any words.

"There finally here" I heard her say as she closed the box. "Don't come out no matter what" she added as she walked away, leaving me disturbed and confused.

"You're a warewolf, so you know how painful silver is when it's injected into our skin." I heard him say as he bent down, holding my grandmother's chin in his hands. "Tell me now or you're dead!" he roared as he pushed her roughly. Making me shiver in fright. Is this how my grandmother will die?

She struggled to stand as she was already old and a bit haggerd. "If you want to kill me, then do it! I don't know where she is!"

Glancing at his subordinates, "Get me the Solution."

"I warned you. I hope this will teach you a lesson." he said as he injected it into her arm. My grandmother, Sheela struggled to break free from his grasp but he was too strong.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" she groaned in agony as she fell to the ground. "Make it stop, make it stop!"

I covered my ears and closed my eyes, unable to watch the scene. I fell down to the ground, my heart shattering into a million places. "I need to help her"

I sneaked out of the room and walked gently to the scene. Seeing my grandma closely, my heart ached. He beautiful skin was burning away and there were green veins popping out of her neck. Her once bright eyes were dim as she stared at the man Infront of her. Turning her head towards my direction, she smiled slightly as she saw me.

"Go back"

"Go back!" I heard again as she faced the man, trying to distract him. Her voice was stuck in my head as she continuously repeated the words, "Go back."

Her lips didn't seem to be saying anything but I heard her voice clearly. I gazed at her one last times, my eyes stinging with tears. "Grandma"

I ran back into the room, careful not to make any sound. Immediately I entered, I heard the man's disgusting voice, "Do you know what that solution contains? "

My grandmother didn't respond. She just laid there gently, breathing her last breath.

He walked towards her and pulled her hair, his nails sinking into her scalp. "It's wolfsbane and silver."

Facing her, "you know how painful silver is? Imagine mixing it with wolfsbane " he said, his eyes glowing with malicious intent. "I can imagine how painful it is"

"Just tell me where she is?"

"I don't know. I don't know. I don't know!" My grandmother growled as she glared at him. Refusing to cower under his gaze.

However, he chuckled darkly at her words. "You're quite strong."

"Get me another solution."

Fear flashed through sheela's eyes but she supressed it quickly. Her body was burning and she felt like dying.

Death would be better than all this.

Her throat was dry and her once bright skin was pale. "Just kill me" she managed to say after a while. She was weak and tired. For her granddaughter, she would do anything. Anything to save her. If these people should capture her, no one would be able to save her.

"It's better I die in her place" she added as she glanced at him.

"Hahahahaha" he laughed, showing his cute dimples. The entire room became cold. His subordinates shivered slightly as they glanced at him.

"This laugh"

"Something bad is coming."

"No one can stop him."

This laughter means nothing but darkness. For someone as cold as Lucas to stiffle out a laughter, something terrible is about to happen.

"Get me five portions of the solution" he said. His voice devoid of any emotion.

What was he saying? A mere warewolf can't withstand two portions. Injecting her with five would kill her. But who could oppose him?

Knowing her fate, Sheela cried silently as she tried to distract her self by thinking of happy moments.

Lucas's eyes glinted darkly as he subordinates brought the solution to him. He walked towards Sheela slowly, making her move backwards in fear. His expression seemed to be saying, "No no, there's no where for you to hide."

On reaching her, he dragged her hand roughly, earning a gasp from her lips.

"Ahhhhh!" Sheela screamed on top of her lungs as he injected the second solution into her arms. Unable to take it she struggled to free herself.

Without any care, he injected the third and fourth one and pushed her to the ground.

"Ahhhhhh"

"Please, please make it stop"

It felt like her body was being bitten by a million Insects, making her body sting in pain. Her throat was dry and her eyes were red. Blood seemed to be coming from every hole of her body including her mouth.

My grandmother's constant screams freaked me out as I struggled with my conscience. I felt guilty. It's me they want and she's the one that has to go through all of these.

Moments later, they decided to leave. Immediately, I ran out of the room and bent down to check on my grandmother. "Gra..grand..grand mother"

Hearing my voice, she tried to smile but it only brought tears to my eyes. She was trying to be strong for me but here I am, breaking down Infront of her. "Grandma, what do they want from me" I cried out as I hugged her. Not minding her bloody appearance.

"You..you..you need to leave. Run as fast as you can. Make sure you're safe" she mumbled as she raised her hands to touch my cheeks. I was crying nonstop, wondering why we had to go through all these. I never met my real parents.

For some unknown reason, grandma refused to tell me how and why they died. I don't even know who they are.

As if she read my thoughts, "Your parents..they..they died protecting you. "

"I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to feel guilty." She whispered.

Wait, my parents died because of me and now my grandmother? No, No! This is just too much!

"It's not your fault" she managed to say after a while. I know she didn't want me to feel guilty but I couldn't help it.

"Why?" I asked slowly as I looked at her. Holding her hands in my hands. I wanted to know why. Why I was being hunted down?

Why people were dying because of me?
