Hal was lying down on the couch, his head in my lap as I run my fingers through his hair. His eyes were closed and he looked so good, so sleepy.

I trailed my fingers down his face, tracing his brows and going over his nose and down his face. My boyfriend.

My alarm went off, startling me. I watched Hal as he comes awake. A twitch here and his eyes opening slowly. He looked adorable. I found myself giggling as I watched him blink himself awake. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead.

"Hey." I said once I leaned back, my fingers brushing his hair.

"Kitten." Hal said with a small smile.

"How was your nap?" I asked him, never looking away from his face. I fought the urge to just lean down and whisper I love you in his ear.

"The best nap I've ever taken." Hal said with a chuckle, he even gave me two thumbs up. Silly man. He makes a face and I leaned down again and this time I pepper kisses all over his face, I felt so happy!

Hal cooed as I kissed his face. He finally sits up, I grab the bottle water and handed it to him before cuddling close. Hal has been having a stressful day and it showed in his text so once it was lunch break, I literally flew out of the convenience store.

Thankfully I only had a half shift covering for Agatha who was coming in a little later, so by twelve I was already done.

After a quick lunch at the office with Hal, I had to convince Hal to take a nap.

I stood there, my hands on my hips as I glared at Hal who was was chuckling.

"You need to nap, mister."

"I think you've forgotten who the little in this relationship is." Hal said, pushing both hands into his pocket. I wasn't having it though, so I stalked forward, grabbed his hand and led to the couch, I sat down and pulled hard, still glaring as I manhandled him onto the couch, till he had his head on my lap.

"Go to sleep."

"Darling..."

I glared down at him again.

"You look adorable." He said instead and I hugged, crossing my arms.

"Daddy, you need to sleep or I'll end up being very worried about you and I'll tell Danny and Jeff and you'll get a very loud talking to." I said as sternly as I could. Hal looked like he was biting down a laugh and I was so ready to pinch him.

"Fine." He sighed. "Thank you for worrying about me babe."

I stayed cuddled up to Hal. I didn't have anywhere to be and I didn't want to go home. Hal pressed a kiss to my head.

"I got you a little present. I was going to give you tonight but I don't think I can wait that long." Hal said and I almost bounce in excitement. I love presents.

"What is it? Where is it?"

"Let me go wash my face first and then I'll give it to you." Hal said, getting off the couch. I fell forward a bit and poured up at him. He smiled brightly and winks before heading for the bathroom.

I wonder what he got. Was it in this office? Could I look for it first? Nah. It would be better if he gives me himself. I could wait for a bit. Thankfully Hal doesn't spend a long time in the bathroom and comes out smelling like the lemon hand sanitizer that was in there.

"Ready, darling?"

"Always."

Hal walked over to his desk and squats, I watched him take a key out of his pocket and unlocked the bottom drawer, pulling out a black box with a blue bow, the same color of my hair, on it.

He walked over to me and sat down. I immediately moved closer, my eyes wide as he hands me the gorgeous box. The box felt soft to touch and my heart kept slamming in my chest as I tugged on the bow and the ribbon fell loose

I paused before opening in the box, looking at Hal who looked as excited as I was. So I finally lift the lid and the breath I didn't know I was holding, rushed out of me.

Sitting on a soft blue cushion was a bracelet and at the center of the bracelet, resting on the pillow was a small card detailing the product. It was a Curb Chan bracelets with Pavé black diamonds.

I didn't even know what that meant but the bracelet looked so gorgeous.

"Hal..."

"We've started another chapter of our lives together and I wanted to get you something to symbolize that." Hal said, placing his hand on top of mine. I looked away from his hand and then up at his face.

"Hal..."

"Darling I just wanted to get you something that suit you. A perfect gift for my perfect prince." He said and o felt my cheeks heat up at his words.

So instead I rose up my right hand a bit and smiled happily at him.

"Can you please put it on for me?"

Hal gently picked the bracelet out of the box and put it on for me, not letting go of my hand when he was done, he gently stroked my wrist and I alternated between looking at the bracelet and at Hal.

"Thank you so much."

"Anything for my darling." Hal said, pressing a kiss to my temple. I couldn't help it. I tilt my head back a bit and captured his lips with mine, the two of us kissing gently.

Hal let go of my wrist, his finger under my chin, lifting my head as we kissed. I just wanted to scream out loud how much I loved him, instead I kissed him with all the passion I had in me.

We finally pull apart once the need for air arose. Hal couldn't stop looking at me and despite the heat on my cheeks, I couldn't stop looking at him either.

"Thank you! I love it so much." I told him honestly. The bracelet was a bit heavy on my wrist but it was wrapped right around it, it fit perfectly.

Hal moves closer, nudging his nose against mine before leaning down for another kiss. This time I kicked the box aside and straddled his lap, my arms going around his neck while his hands settle on my ass. I was about to grind down against him when there was a loud knock on the door. Hal paused and I pull away, he was glaring at the door like it was the most offensive thing ever.

The knock came again but this time someone spoke up.

"Mr. Janvier, you have a meeting in five minutes with Haruko Han."

Hal let's out a loud groan at the words of his personal assistant. Thankfully the knock doesn't come again. I watched Hal, listened to him sigh dramatically.

"How long is this meeting going to take?" I asked Hal, brushing my fingers through his hair.

"A long long time. Haruko likes to talk." Hal said and I cooed down at him. I pressed a kiss to his forehead and his nose, Hal's hands still on my ass.

"How about you go for your meeting and I go home to set a little something something up for you." I bargained and watched with amusement as Hal perked up.

"What something something?" He asked and I shrugged. He narrowed his eyes at me and before I knew it he was wiggling his fingers against my side and I couldn't hold back the loud laughter.

I tried to wiggle off his lap but he wasn't having it.

"Hall...." I pleaded, my tears sliding down my face as I laughed really hard. He does let go though.

"You need to get ready for your meeting. You can come straight home when you're done." I had gotten so used to calling Hal's house, home, and every time I referred to it as that, Hal gets the little twinkle in his eyes and he smiles this very small beautiful thing that never ceased to make my heart flutter.

"Okay darling. Prez is going to drop you off at home."

"Nope. I'm gonna take the bus, let Prez rest a bit."

"Kitten..."

"Please, daddy? I'll text you when I'm on the bus and when I get home."

"Alright! Make sure you do so." Hal said and the. Adds. "Any special request I should get on my way home?" Hal asked and I don't even hesitate.

"Ice cream! Strawberry cheesecake ice cream!"

"Of course." Hal said, giving me one last kiss before tapping my thigh. I got off his leg and Hal stood, adjusting his shirt and pants. He grabbed his jacket and slid it on. I gently placed the box my bracelet came in inside my bag and slung it over my shoulder before making my way to Hal, smoothing out his lapel, my hands resting on his chest as I made sure he looked good.

Not like he needed my help for that though.

"You need to brush your hair again."

"Nah, I don't have time for that." He said. He lifts his hand up and took mine in them, raising them to his lips as he pressed kisses all over my knuckles.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

There was another knock on the door and this time I pout. I didn't want to leave him but he had work to do and I had to go home and set up his little something something. Hal leads me out the door and I tried to find his personal assistant but like always she disappears into thin air.

Hal led me to the elevator and tapped on the button for me.

"I'll miss you." I told him, smiling up at him.

"I'll miss you too , kitten." He said and I smile in response. The elevator doors pull open and I step in, Hal smiles at me and I wave until the doors shut.

Since I was using Hal's private elevator, I got to the first floor without interruption and I made my way to Lambert who was flipping through a magazine.

"Hey Lammy."

Lambert looked up at me and smiled widely. "Jesse Pesse. I was thinking you'd never come down." He said and I flip him off, my cheeks heating up.

"You're a mean one."

"Mr. Grinch." Lambert sang and I shook my head fondly at the man.

"I wasn't trying to crack a joke." I told Lambert, leaning against his counter and playing with the sign that red receptionist.

"I have another joke for that but I see my jokes aren't appreciated." Lambert teased and I shook my head.

"I'd like to invite you for a party." I told Lambert and he looked at me, his left brow raised.

"Whose party?"

"It's still in the works but it's at the end of the month. It's a Halloween party. A birthday party." I told Lambert who clapped on glee.

"Who's it for?"

"I'll tell you later." I told him. "Okie! I'd love to chat but I've got something to do. I'll text you the details." I said, already stepping away from the counter.

"You better, Jesse Pesse!"

I gave him a wave before walking away. Once I stepped out of the building i head right for the bus stop and waited for a few minutes for the bus to arrive, once I was in i sent Hal a text. It took a couple of songs to get to Hal's house and when I got there I sent him a quick selfie before I had a long shower, shaved off all my hair, moisturized and got into a navy blue short robe, pulling on one of the lace shorts Hal had gotten me, my hair hanging over my eyes, letting it dry that way.

It had taken me a long while to get myself ready, that by the time I checked the time, it was already five thirty. So I set about getting dinner ready for Hal. For dinner I made Prosciutto-wrapped chicken over risotto primavera.

I was taking the pan off the stove when the door pushed open and Hal stepped in.
