A 65-years old cancer patient has seven more days to live. The only regret in her life is that she never really lived one for herself. Eventually, she dies, only having a journal with her. To her surprise, her soul is not the only thing finding its way. The afterlife has more in it than she could imagine. Her search for a new life not only brings a new friend but Death itself.
"I am going to die?" I said in the most horrible way because no matter how strong I showed myself to be, this whole situation was just not getting along with my inner fears.
"No you are not dying Lily. I will protect you against anyone," Valek said while trying his best to comfort me, but he knew I was breaking down.
"I need to go home," I said.
"Yes, Uncle Bael will take you back," Valek told me while turning towards Uncle Bael.
"Ok Lily, let's go," Uncle Bael said to me.
"What if Death is already there?" I asked them while exposing my petrified feelings all on my face.
"It is going to be fine Lily. I promise I won't let anyone get even in a mile's radius around you," Valek said.
"Can you come with me for the night?" I asked Valek in a shaken voice.
"Ok, if you want me to…"
"Yes, please," I insisted.
"Uncle Bael, you should go and arrange a meeting with my father," Valek said.
